    You can square up the broken hole with your saw. Then put a piece of scrap under it with the grain running the same direction. Take a sharp pencil trace the hole onto the scrap. Cut just to the outside of the line. Should fit in good. You will need to put a piece of tape over the saw hole to keep the small piece from falling thru.

    Had the same experience at staples. A woman changed from black to red no problem. Went back with a another pattern got different person insisted couldn’t be done. Just happened to have the first one still in the car showed her with staples bill. Called manger over showed her how. If I don’t know how to do something I ask an don’t just say can’t be done.

    I have a Jet air system and it sure makes a big difference. The shop even smells better.

    Really like the backer also. You are right there isn’t much wood holding the face an other spots.

    I have my shop vac plugged into the same foot switch as the saw. Saw on shop vac on. Been running this away for 2 years. The vac is under the work bench enclosed for sound.

    I was at a show in Ohio a year ago and brought one for my EX. Got it for $20. As said the instructions were leak. But it does a good job. One problem is I am a top feeder an I had to make the bottom hole larger to be able to hit the hole. While cutting compound pattern I had to move the top tube so it would clear the blank.

    I don’t use my guards either also don’t wear a helmet on bike, when young I didn’t use condoms either, girl friend got pregnant, hummm better rethink this. LOL

    Just checked out my saw and the blade is in the middle of table so it wouldn’t make any difference on table space. Also the blade tilts to the left. So when I cut angles will have to move to right.

    Very interesting about having fence on your dominant side. I am right handed but somethings I do left handed. On railroad I would use a spike mull to drive spikes left handed. I have put the fence on the right side of the table saw to try and it just didn’t feel right. More comfortable to me on left side. As my artist wife always says “it depends “ LOL

    When watching woodworking shows on TV I see the table saw fence is on the right side of the blade. I have always used mine on the left side. Does it matter?

    I googled “the sawdust mistress “ but didn’t come up with anything. Does anyone have a address to get the patterns?

    I like the navy clock. Is it your own pattern? I can see other blanches also.

    Good example of patterns not having to have 100s of holes to be effective. Very nice!

    What is a “glue line rip blade “? How is it different from a normal rip blade?

    Was asked to make for a wedding. Used padauk with BB plywood backer. Pattern was made by Bobscroll. With may thanks to him! It is 8” x24” cut on a EX21.

    Didn’t know there was such a concern. A lot of us (me too) post on this site and SSW site. Helps keep both going. SSW needs all the help they can get.
