  2. Great idea!!
  3. Jim if you ever want to give a EX21 a try you are welcome to come over and try mine. Live only 10 miles east of you (Farmland)
  4. Sorry I didn’t get back to you faster. Forgot an life got in the way. The guitar patterns are in same magazine by Dan & Ruth Johnson. Other ones are made by Theresa Ekdom. I think the date of magazine is 2010.
  5. Iggy that’s a very nice thing you did!! You are right in that most of us that can’t make patterns would be up a creek without those that do. As they say “you are good people “.
  6. Looks good! Still standing lol
  7. Looks to be a 8N. Tell by the back wheels. The 2N and the 9N had different rims. Picture of my 8N. 1949 year older than me.
  8. Made these for a church event next month. Good way to use up small leftovers.
  9. Can’t see in the picture is there a hose to pick up dust from top?
  10. My wife found this clock in our "goodwill" type store in Winchester, IN. Priced for only $5.00. The man that made it put his signature on the back. Alfred C. Groth is his name living in Leesburg, FL. So I googled him and found out that he retired an moved to FL from Winchester, IN. but passed away in 2013. My point to all this is I have though sometimes were would the things I made end up in the future. There has been a discussion on here about sighing you projects. I think this shows how important it can be. I also find that it is odd that a clock he made in FL would end up back in his home town and be hanging in another scroll sawer's shop. PS he was 92 when he passed and did a very good job making the clock an I am proud to have it hanging in my new shop.
  11. You are right about the media. Every time something comes out in the media that I know the details it is always screwed up. It is like they are more interested in getting it printed or on TV on time instead of getting the facts right.
  12. Some blades ( Flying Dutchman) will do that. It is the way they are made that causes that. You will learn to adjust for it an not even think about it. The Pegas blades don’t do this as much.
  13. No problem
  14. Got my copy of the winter issue of SSW&C today. Happy to see Harvey has been included in it.
  15. I have two Otta Lights by the saw one on each side to stop the shadows.
  16. Take a piece of fine sandpaper an sand both ends an both sides were the blade goes into the clamp. This will clean factory coating an rough up the metal so the clamp can get a grip.
  17. Not a lot of wood to hold together at that spot. I try to hold a weak spot with my finger as I cut. This will help keep the wood from vibrating and the blade from pulling it up.
  18. Didn’t know about Famowood. Have to get some.
  19. Thanks I will give E6000 a try.
  20. Try to make myself better understood lol. Going to put a overlay of hardwood onto a piece of stained glass. Going to be a cut out of a elk and trees an birds.
  21. Going to need to attach wood to glass, what is some ways of doing it? Thanks
  22. Not all Amish live the same. I take my horses to Amish north of me. They don’t use anything electric or gas power. Also use open buggies everything on steel wheels. I brought a piece of hay equipment from a Amish man in southern Indiana. They use tractors on steel wheels, gas generator for cow milking an closed buggies. Amish 15 miles from me pull a gas power unit behind horses to run PTO for hay baler.
  23. I have mine on a three tool turn table. Really helps with the dust.
  24. Person selling Black Walnut for $1.50 BF. Said it was cut 70 years ago. I got 30 BF for $46.50.
  25. How in the world do you break 7 blades? Something isn’t right with your saw. I been scrolling for 10 years and maybe broken 3 blades due to cutting 1 1/2” stock. Had blades come loose from the clamp an get bent but not break.
