  1. You can raid my scrap bin anytime you need to! Nice work!
  2. Neat job on both! Anyone who has cut even 1/2 inch oak knows that it tests saw and operator!
  3. They mostly summed it up! A Hello BACK--- We really are that bad; we just hide it well! I am west of heppnerguy about 150 or so miles. at ALOHA OR! about 40 miles from (if you go straight) the Pacific Ocean. Good beer is to be enjoyed not saved! Guinnes---!!!! I really like seeing that you are making you won patterns; the real way. I have made a toy and then made the templates for more No dumb questions--sometimes dumb answers though! But by the end the real answer is always in the mix too.
  4. We are sawdust anonymous (Scroll Saw Village) and the group pledge is to leave no sawdust maker behind! Actually a really great bunch with lots of answers---- some of the answers are even correct. Welcome and enjoy the shared insanity. Tool snobs think the tools make the project; they are wrong! The operator makes the project! On wood it is much faster to sand off a little extra than to try to fill and then sand back! Misses into the waste area are easier to repair. Make your nest your nest. chair-lights- fans- headphones (Earmuffs) the way that works for you! Many wonderful things have been made with in-expensive tools. WE loike to see everones work. Be prepared though we BORROW good ideas.
  5. Should be a law--- shop temp over 85=== Free beer at pub! I can take heat better than chilly and damp! Arthritis is better in heat.

  9. We mostly know our own abilities; although, sometimes circumstances can force us to try new things and find new abilities! Buy a 6 pk --get a "wrencher" buddy to walk you through it! You might discover more ability than you thought you had! Kevin is right about sometimes things seem a lot worse than they are too. A few screws loose can make things --ratlle --clunk -- run erratic-- and even stop and still be a very minor issue!
  10. http://www.ereplacementparts.com/dewalt-dw788-type-scroll-saw-parts-c-1009_2631_207564.html Here is a link to repair parts! They are not too complicated . You probably have a buddy to help with it anyway. I suggest taking apart taking pictures as you go and looking for excessive movement in the parts. Looking parts diagram over and deciding then whether to repair or replace. Also do a internet search on the DeWalt 788 repair. Good luck. Almost forgot; please let the community know what you did!

    FARM SHELF

Even sideways it is nice work! I am an old farm boy and will be "country" till I die; and hopefully long afterward too!
  12. Very nice work. I do have an observation; one hose (Screen -right) has a halter and the other does not. Usually on the farm/ranch it would be both or none, Unless one is a colt.
  13. dgman's is also very nice! Now I know I have to put it on my "TRY-IT!" list. Both excellent work.
  14. A. K. keeping the A. K. TITLE~! Great Work!
  15. Looks good to me! Very nice job and we all have to fix things as we go! I have made fire wood from nearly complete projects that ended up beyond repair! I am going to have to put something similar on my TRY -IT list.
  16. Justta keepin' yo TITLE--"AMAZING!"
  17. NICE! My wife will not paint for me; although she does a much better job, than I do! Keep it going! Neat cluckers.

I still learn new things all the time. HAVE FUN--- And the doubters---- can look the other way! WHO Cares! Please the person in the mirror!
  19. They pretty much said it. Very nice design and build.
  20. Very nice! May have to try one come winter and more sawdust time!
  21. Welcome to our asylum!! Good luck on trying to make a living with a scrollsaw. I have always considered it an better option for a hobby than golf-- get to dress much better and not as hard on vocabulary I have made sawdust and sometimes even some things for many decades! ! do hope to eventually get good at it!
  22. Might gEt "CHILLLLLYYYYY--" === DAMNED cold in Oct.-Nov.-Dec.- Jan.-- Feb.--- March--- April-- and early MAY TOO! You might need to insulate/skirt the bottom and have a electric heater too! I used to live in NW NORT--DE--COLDER! AKA North Dakota; about the same nasty weather over winter! Should make a nice shop though for June July and August. Kidding aside; you probably will need to skirt and insulate around the bottom for the winter months.
  23. ALWAYS feels terrific! To sell the first one; hope you did decent on it! I usually get more than I asked for; but, I probably do NOT ask enough! I do not do my wood work for the money though. I do it for me. I seem to give away more than I sell-- but that is alright too. I just want to make some of my expenses back! CHEAPER than GOLF and I can dress like a person not a clown! MORE FUN TOO! NICE WORK!
  24. As usual Very nice work! I am the strawberry weeder! I seem to manage to eat some at the same time though
  25. Nice work! And a lot of it! I use the "Rockler special" led light with glass magnifier, when I am trying to be very accurate!
