I prefer a solid black or red line with no fill color. If a fill is necessary, gray is best.

Hey Larry, the air line on the DeWalt and many other saws is made by Loc-line. It is a very efficient system for delivering air and liquids to various machines in industries and hobby. The advantage of this system is it needs only one mounting point and can be adjusted to any position, unlike a plastic tube or hose that needs to be mounted to a hold down foot or column as on some saws. The loc-line is very strong and durable, but can be a little brittle if abused. By using the proper technique it is easly repaired.

I never cut anything thinner than 1/4". So, If I need an 1/8" piece, I will stack another layer of 1/8" material. Trying to cut thinner material is difficult as you don't have proper control of the piece and tear out can occur. Because I do two to four craft shows a year I always stack four layers of 1/8" BB plywood. I use a no. 1FD UR or a no. 3 FD UR blade with minimal tear out on the back which is easily sanded off. Before you start, sand your blanks to Finish grit, usually 220 grit. Then make your stack and cut. Then use some 220 grit sandpaper to lightly sand off the fuzzies.

clockwise, counter clockwise, I cut in both directions when needed. But I usually cut with the waste on the right. I purposely teach this to my students. By picking a dedicated direction, its easier to teach the little tricks on cutting tight inside and outside cuts.
