E6000. It comes in a tube and adheres anything to anything. You can find it at any craft store and most hardware stores. It’s a clear gel and flex’s if necessary. I use it to mount D hangers to projects. Have never had a failure.

It is a guard to keep your hand away from a moving blade under the table. It is the second thing to remove from a DeWalt scroll saw. The first being the hold down foot.

I have an electric iron. It takes about 10 minutes to heat up. I definitely would not want the type that needs to be heated with a torch. I don’t want an open flame in my shop!

Plywood typically is not measured in board feet as is Hardwoods. Hardwoods take into account thickness x width x length. Plywood is measured in thickness by board size. A board foot is 1”x12”x12”. If you were going to measure plywood by board feet, your 1/4” x12x12” plywood would be 1/4 board foot. Keep in mind plywood is layers of wood laminated together as opposed to hardwood which is solid wood, not manufactured.

Yup, I have a bunch of those pyramid shaped things and use them when needed, but the cookie drying racks are easier to use.

Ray, I use some cookie cooling racks I bought at Target. They came three in a pack. I use them to set the projects on to dry after I wipe down the the project. After the project is dry, I place the projects on the racks to spray my topcoat.

Ray, I used to use old tee shirts till I ran out of old tee shirts. I tried the rags from the big box stores but did not like the lint as you described. What’s working for me is the blue shop towels that come in a roll like paper towels but they do not leave lint behind. You can find them at hardware stores and auto parts stores.

Brenda, we are our own worst critics. I tell my students that nobody is going to pull out a pattern and compare it to your piece. I saw one area that needs to be trimmed with an Exacto knife, but if not addressed, the average person will never see it. In my opinion, it’s great, ship it!

Very well done! Now, you need to work on applying a finish on it.

It’s great! I don’t have the back pain like I used too as I can adjust it for the height I need. When I’m working on my bench cutting and applying patterns or sanding I lower it to work comfortably. When I’m cutting on the saw, I raise it to a height so I’m not hunched over the saw table. The seat and back are still very comfortable after a years use.

There really isn’t anything you can do to stop it from turning brown. I have a plaque I made with Padauk. It was a bright orange when I cut it a few years ago. Now, it’s a dark brown.

Pine is too soft. I would use poplar or hard Maple.
