  1. Many have used it on jigsaw puzzle pictures before cutting. Seems to be liked by jigsaw puzzle cutters. I've not used it myself but will probably give it a go.
  2. 11x14, 264 pieces. Learned a few things cutting this one.
  3. Hi Scott and welcome!
  4. Welcome to forum! Looking forward to seeing a lot of your work.
  5. Those are sweet! Thanks for showing them.
  6. Beautiful work as usual. As for an oven, if you can get a fish box from a wholesaler or retailer at a fish market, line it with foil and you have an oven. We used them in boy scouts to cook at campouts. Power by charcoal. The toaster oven idea is better though. Probably pick up one at a thrift store or inherit from someone who has replaced one that had become coated in funk. The funk will scrape off and you'll have a beautiful shop tool.
  7. Thanks all. No, not my yard but a family member. I've never sold anything, just a hobby, but lately have had a few people ask about making me puzzles of their family pictures for Christmas when they found out I cut jigsaw puzzles.
  8. I decided to make this a quick to put together puzzle. My better half wanted one that took about as long to put together as a afternoon thunderstorm lasts here in the land of humidity.
  9. Hello Dave and welcome!
  10. Welcome Josh! Glad to see a motivated young scroller jump into the hobby.
  11. Love the pad stand. I could use one of those and a remote holder. Then just have to develop the habit of using it. Great manger scene also. Thanks for sharing your work.
  12. I'm sure you're commenting on the Steelers sign, not the POW-MIA. Not being from the colonies, I can understand. Let me help. The Pittsburgh Steelers happen to be one of the most famous, accomplished, world renowned football (not that round thing) teams ever in existence. I'm not from Pittsburgh but have visited and ridden the GAP trail.
  13. Thanks for the pdf Roly!
  14. They are beautiful! Great work!
  15. Nice work. Go Steelers!
  16. My efforts are improving some. Thank you for the kind words. As far as step by step, I jumped into puzzle making following the Carter Johnson method. It is easy enough to get started but I haven't followed all of his suggestions, namely color line cutting. I have copied his directions and will post them in the tutorial forum. You've seen my photography. Are you sure you want pictures?
  17. This is for a soon to follow me in retirement coworker. He likes golf, vacationing in Wyoming and jigsaw puzzles and has no idea he is getting this. The picture is not good so I included the original. The puzzle includes all that is in the orginal uncut picture. Puzzle is 9.5x17, 187 pieces.
  18. Great work! Thanks for sharing with us.
  19. Wonderful!
  20. There's a fuse? Guess I've been lucky. Thanks for the info. Not sure when I bought mine but got it from Tool Crib of the North just before they switched to Amazon.
  21. Great idea. I think I would like to do that myself. I'm thinking of someone who loves golf and jigsaw pictures and they posted a pic of a beautiful golf course with the Tetons in the background. Thanks for sharing.
  22. Hear that sound? That's the collegiate vacuum sucking all the money out of my pocket. I've been retired for 3 years and my wife retires in June, 2016. We'll have two kids still in college for a year and a half. Watch out for late arriving children! It should be worth it as they've promised to stop by the nursing home once in a while and empty our drool buckets. Yes, retirement still rocks!
  23. It's 11x17 - 200 pieces. Cut freehand with fewer mistakes than usual but still trying to improve. Last of 3 that will go in the mail for the grandkids tomorrow.
  24. Thanks for sharing. I love boxes and that is super nice. Beautiful workmanship.
