  1. Thanks Gordie. Someone already wanted to buy it but I said it's not for sale. I wouldn't know what to charge anyway,
  2. Hi again everyone. I just want to show you all the officially completed Lords Prayer and how it looks on the wall. I gave it about 4 coats of poly. You can see the slats on the back a little better now that it's on the wall. I know you all commented already soi no ned to do it again unless you want. LOL.
  3. Thanks everyone for all the compliments. It was a challenge to do but I stuck with it. Danny, this is a Sheila Landry pattern and if you go to her site, she has a lot of different sayings plus the ten commandments. Good luck. Paul I have the measurements up top but it's 12w x 24 long.
  4. Len, this is a Sheila Landry pattern, plus it's already pieced together. You can't tell in the photo because of the background. I have two 1 1/2 slats on either side glued to the backs.
  5. Nice. Looks like a reindeer to me. Do the legs move. I think I have a pattern for that size in a compound cut.
  6. Well I finally finished this project almost. Just have to put a few coats of poly on it and a hanger on the back. I'll do that tomorrow. This measures 12" W x 24" long and is made out of 1/2 inch Oak. There's two 1 1/2 inch strips on the back holding it all together. I used a #3 reverse on all of the letters. Just have to find a place to hang it now.
  7. Well you know the old saying. You get what you pay for. Smart to return that one. I have an Exc 21 inch and I love it. You will love your to. It's like night and day. Good luck with it. and welcome to the village.
  8. Nice Denny. I like that second one. Gives it a little different style.
  9. Great job on that one. I see a lot of cutting there but well worth it. That had to be hard to varnish.
  10. Looks good Kris. You going to paint it like the picture.
  11. Well I gave it to my Granddaughter and she didn't want a backer. She said she can tape different color paper on the back to change the color of the cat if she wants. I did give it a light coat of poly and it brought out the grain and gave it a nice amber color. Looks good. She's the boss. LOL.
  12. Thanks Paul. That's what I usually do but I wasn't sure with the basswood.
  13. Do you think I need a backer .
  14. Hi everyone. I just finished this piece for my Granddaughter on this piece of Basswood I had hanging around for a while but I'm not sure how to finish it. Should I stain it or just put some BLO on it and do I need a backer. Thanks, Ralph.
  15. Looks good Scott. Is that one of Steves patterns. I guess you can ust that pattern for any anniversary by just changing the number.
  16. Kevin, your the man on these name cutouts. What is the type of lettering your using. I like the way it's all one piece.
  17. Those came out great Janie.
  18. Good job Kevin. We all know your good at figuring things out. Haven't had to many problem with my 788 yet except a blown fuse. I mostly use my EX 21.
  19. Well you can't beat5 free but I think I'll stick to my DW788 and my EX 21.
  20. Good luck Tony. Your going to love it. I have the ex21 and love it/ I just finished cutting out the Lords Prayer with it about 20 minutes ago. There's a lot of lettering to cut and it's all different types. I haven't put it together yet. Still have to paint the backers ans line everything up. Leaving for vacation tomorrow so it will have to wait until I get back.
  21. Kevin, I used a #5 Pegas blade for my Bird houses and they worked fine. Got mine at woodcraft.
  22. I use painters tape all the time and spray with 3m or whatever I have on hand and don't really have a problem taking the tape off when I'm done. Could take a little longer if you have a lot of letters to cut out which I'm doing now with the lords prayer.
  23. Kevin, looking good. I love the heart one. I spend a lot of money to Kevin and I don't really sell anything. I just keep it all to myself. I did sell some of the bird houses and some signs. never know what to charge. I'm working on the lords prayer now and there's a lot of cutting on this one. I'm going on Vacation tomorrow for a week so I will have to finish it when I come back.
  24. Boy Denny, that looks great. I can see the feathers could be a little tricky. Well done.
  25. Nice Kevin. I don't know if I would use real money though. Might get in trouble with the Gov. LOL.
