  1. Nice cuttings, I like them all! Rob
  2. Well you haven't lost your touch, that's for sure. Awesome cutting! Rob
  3. Great pattern Dick. You got her spot on. Rob
  4. If you hang them you could place a length of guttering underneath to catch the drips and potentially save some Danish oil for re-use. I got the idea from this video although this guy uses the guttering for applying his finish. Rob
  5. Great job Jim. I must have a look for that pattern. Rob

    Three signs

Hi Merlin, These are cut from drawer side panels, not ply. I don't know if Matai was ever used in furniture construction but the first one doesn't seem to be rimu and is much harder and denser which made me think of Matai but I am guessing! Rob

Thanks Lew. I do sell these. usually at craft fairs but sometimes through Facebook. Rob
  8. First one is from a pattern by Sam Custodio and is I think native New Zealand Matai. Then one from our very own Bobscroll but no idea what the timber is And finally one that I don't remember where I got the pattern but in native New Zealand Rimu. All timber is reclaimed from the side panels of old drawer boxes and finished with 50/50 BLO. Thanks for looking, Rob
  9. Fabulous cutting and the frame suits it to a tee. Isn't is amazing what people throw away! Rob
  10. Good job Jim. It reminded me I need to get hold of that pattern. Rob
  11. Only one word for that Dick... Toweriffic! Awesome job. I'd love to have a go at that but we can't get Baltic Birch ply here. What thickness is it by the way? Don't know what I would do with it either even if I did finish it. I reckon the kids or the hyperactive Labrador would reduce it to matchsticks in pretty short order. Well, well, done. Don't forget to send Pedro a photo! Rob

  16. Welcome to the Hegner owners club Jim. Glad you like it, I'm loving mine. Rob
  17. All great and beautifully cut but I especially like the second one. Is that pattern available somewhere? Rob
  18. I cut one of these the other day and sold it so here it is again, hopefully this will sell too at my next market on Mother's Day. Pattern is by Steve Good but I decided to omit the little bird this time. Rob
  19. I have an old Black and Decker random orbit sander but mostly use a hand sanding block. I just find it gives more control when sanding delicate work. Rob
  20. Excellent Steve! I love that pattern, you did it proud. Rob

I use my battery powered circular saw to cut them apart Merlin and just ditch the corners. Then rip off the drawer bottom groove on the table saw and dock them to length on the chop saw and they are ready for the thicknesser to give them a quick skim. Rob
  25. Wow! I love that. It doesn't even look like ply! Rob
