    Tablet Stand

Very nice, one question, where do you get the polymer at? I find myself wanting to experiment with the stuff. Chris

    Batman

NICE !!! Being a Marvel/DC fan I really like this kinds stuff.
  3. Awesome find, I'm always on the hunt fro "free" project wood...I grab pallets when their free, mostly fire wood, but occasionally score oak or maple, a few passes thru the planner and you get some nice stuff. Chris
  4. Deadman here also, I like having both hands on the project piece before the blade starts moving. And as mentioned earlier, when a blade breaks my natural instinct is to lift my foot which cuts off the saw. Chris
  5. Spot on with the "Modern Relationship"
  6. Hey Dave; Amazing piece, very beautiful. One question, do you cut the inlay separately or stack cut them? Chris
  7. Sounds Interesting, I'll see what I can do....
  8. I'm looking for a good source for sandpaper. Need some for my random orbital sander, belt sander, and 1 in inflatable Sanders Chris
  9. That's actually kinda cool. Nice job!
  10. Amazing work as usual. Very nice.
  11. With back issues also I have found with my Scrollsaw I found a bar stool that is high enough that it's almost like standing. I put my Scrollsaw on the bench, took it off the stand, with everything higher, and not bending over so much I can work longer. I do take quite a few breaks, do 1 or 2 cuts then take 5, then back at it. I found that a chair had me bent over too far. Chris

    Buffalo

Finally finished the Buffalo I started back in 2015. Right after I got the project set up my father wanted to move, then again 6 months later. Then a few months later our house sold and I had had to move yet again. This Buffalo is part 2 of a 4 part project. The Wolf was part 1, Buffalo part 2, next are an Eagle and a Bear. I used a basswood blank with bark on the edge, a Walnut inlay.
  13. I'd agree with meflick, the blade entry hole is at the back edge of the wing where it meets the body, that being said, awesome work dude !!!! Chris

  20. So, back, early in 2017 my life got really crazy, so much so that scrollsawing took a back seat. I had just moved into a new house and trying to set up some sort of shop in the basement. Here it is, January 2018 and things are slowly coming together. I finally had a chance to sit down and catch up with a few issues of Scrollsaw Woodworking & Crafts. After talking them out of the plastic I grabbed Spring 2017 and started looking thru. Did I ever get a surprise on page 8. There is a picture of a clock I had done in the summer of 2016. I started to read the info on the picture and "BAM". I surprised to learn that I had submitted the photo. Heck, I don't even remember sending it in. Just a great way to end a long day of putting together a Scrollsaw shop. Hope to get back "in the saddle" by the end of the month. Sure have missed making nice looking firewood.....lol. Chris
  21. incredable !!!!
  22. Nice
  23. For me, I've been at it off and on for more than 30 years. All my learning was from books and magazines. Heck, I can't even tell what got me hooked, but I still have the first scroll project I did. Didn't have internet back then, least ways where I was, but the stuff that's out there is incredible. Never tried to make money, I would get requests but I would just give them the piece, or donated for silent auctions and such. The main point is to enjoy your time at the saw and the hardest critic you have is yourself. Chris
  24. The boxes look amazing, wonderful work Chris
