My grandson (6) wanted a gift for his teacher. So he drew an apple and a reindeer. I applied his pics to a piece of cherry and cut them out. He then applied walnut oil with a paper towel.
He was a very happy camper!
Thanks guys. It actually was another starry night I cut for a friend, when the big piece slipped as I was cutting around the little houses. And I could see in slow motion how my finger was cut.
If you have children, they like to say „me too“. And you too it.
Made a larger snowman for mine and a larger turned tree for her. Also different color acorns for us.
So I have been mulling this over for a while, but only today did I find the time and had all material together and actually could make my advent piece. Comments welcome and appreciated. It's a slice of oak. Most pieces are glued on, but the smaller ones in front only lie on top.
I already have some I made from ceramics many many years ago and some starts I knitted and stuffed. The rest shall be wood pieces. Here is my beginning. I will add more pictures as I make more.
I wanted decoration for my other windowsill after I had put the carolers project one of them. Inspired by the house on the carolers' plank, I made some more. Each one a different wood. Maple, Wenge, Mahogany, Oak, Walnut, Poplar, Cherry.
