Beautiful cutting, and of course the bike is too. What wood is that?
  5. I guess it depends on the watch face, but the watch/clock inserts talked about here are 1 7/16 diameter, and require a 1 3/8 hole a standard pool cue is 1 1/4 diameter at the hilt
  6. I am not sure either, the only spot would the the end, but a cue stick has too small a diameter to put a clock on.
  7. Got to agree with Spirit, outstanding work
  8. My prayers are with you, good luck when it comes time for PT, uncomfortable is good, pain means stop, regardless of what they say
  9. it is attached clock-insert-template.svg
  10. I only use the small clock insert so I use a forstner bit I made an inkscape template with the drawings for 3 clock inserts, then I just copy and paste to the new inkscape instance I am working on, let me know if you want it.
  11. really nice work
  12. That looks really great
  13. The garage I hung around at as a teenager had an old mechanic who kind of adopted me. I watched in amazement one day as he pulled the spark plug wires, one at a time while the engine was running. Holding the wire he would point his finger at the engine block and watch the spark jump, no spark or the wrong color spark and he would proclaim, that's the problem!
  14. Trace the wires to where they terminate, use a metal object or a piece of wire the same gauge and jump those connections If it was me I would just clip one at a time. You are going to have to either wire spice the new one in, or solder the new one in where the connection was made 250uf is not going to be that much of a shock IMO, but then again I have been doing that sort of thing a long time, so I am kind of numb to it
  15. search for shrink wrap bags on amazon, they come in different sizes, heat gun to shrink them, I think a hair dryer would do it too just take a little longer. Given that all I have done is read about this process, my understanding is glue the pic to the 1/4 piece, glue the pattern to a sacrifice piece, and stack cut, sacrifice piece on the bottom, the pic piece and the pattern piece. What I have read is that that you need that kind of sandwich to prevent the blade from ripping the picture on the upstroke and reduce fuzzies on the down stroke I know there is something used in scrap booking that some use to cover the picture after cutting, just not sure what it is.
  16. That came out great. Reno is NW of Ft Worth not sure how far from FTW it is though
  17. absolutely beautiful work The work is outstanding and I have to agree, the finish is excellent
  18. Awesome work!
  19. I'm a new scroller too, going on 4 years. I started with FD an like them, as a lark, mostly cause of comments here I tried PMG PMG is all I use now, #3 & #5. They cut straighter, and last longer, I buy from D&D after checking prices, they seem (so far) to the cheapest.
  20. Really nice work!
  21. a b-day gift for her new son-in-law - wants him to know she listens to him ROFL 1970 GTO Convertible
  22. Appreciate the kind words from y'all The wife came in while I cutting the cross backing and started laughing. I did not think it was funny but she said I looked like I was playing Twister while trying to cut it. Foot pedal on the floor, made it all the more interesting too. Ex-21 and the cross is 36 x 24. I am just not good enough to use a spiral for something like this, but at least I am full grown with 36 inch sleeve length. If I have to do this again, it is going to take more than a couple beers.
  23. Leave it be like everyone else has said, it looks great Sometimes a pattern will get me wrapped around the axle too, no rhyme or reason for it that I can tell. Murphy may have been looking over your shoulder at the time, and if so be glad that is all that happened,
  24. Dewalt and an Ex sharing the same bench - always new siblings would mess with each other LOL Reaffirms the old adage, check the simple stuff first, glad you found it
  25. I take pics before I put it in the frame, then I use glass so dust does not collect and mention to the recipient that the glass can be taken out if they wish or it can be re-framed (but then I use cheap ready made frames)
