  1. Nice idea and nice work
  2. WOW! great cutting
  3. JT I have a shop desk top light I use, I was wanting one housed in the dremel body lighting the drill bit, much like my router has two LED shining down to light the work
  4. I use Ragu jars (plastic) for the larger stuff like construction screws, nails, etc. Duct tape on the narrow part you grab and marker, "2" const Sc", etc then I put some one by shelves between the studs, and they line up good and two of those plastic multidrawer things that I rarely get into cause the drawers are a pain, but they do have junk in them
  5. Kevin which screw? I know I don't do the volumn you do, but ... so far it works fine for me I did take off that depth ruler thing and just set the drill depth knurl knob stop I wish the dremel/wen had an LED light on it though
  6. Really nice cutting
  7. Congrats, you will enjoy the step up. What you can see of the shop, it looks so organized. Wonder if there is a shop organizer you can hire like there is for closets - ahh I'd mess it up after they left anyway.
  8. Very nice, very unique
  9. I can't imagine the time and patience, kudo's
  10. I built something like that, well threw it together for my shop vac and 5-gallon bucket dust deputy. It is not tippy if you use common sense moving it. Of course I used wheels I had on hand which I admit should probably be larger. f I had seen that set up back then, I would have been really tempted
  11. ouch You could swap the set screw to the right side, but I doubt it would hold in place since the screw hole is stripped out, well is the screw hole stripped or is it the threads on the screw itself? helicoil works, I've used them before, though not on a scroll saw, assuming the threads on the adjusting screw are not buggered up too. Since you ordered the pegas clamps, I would suggest just sit back and wait for them to arrive
  12. never tried myself, but experiment with wax paper between them
  13. very nice and very nice clean cutting
  14. Really nice, and it is nice to have the memories pop back up too.
  15. So am I, I brought it up because you did saying 12 shots from ma-duece would do it based on the bullet diameter
  16. I see what you used for reference, interesting difference in government pages. Though it does say the Marines are part of the Navy, it is interesting that they consider the coast guard a military service, may be it is the "War on Terror" . Don't get me wrong the coast guard does wonders with little recognition. Just confused me is all
  17. Nice cutting I don't want to nit pick, but you have confused me what is a department of service? 6 of them? The department of defense is an executive branch, and has three military departments under it, Army, Air Force, Navy (Marines are part of the Navy though they don't always think so). In time of war the Coast Guard is considered a military service, but in peacetime it is part of homeland defense.
  18. I will grant you that Geometry was a long time ago, and my memory might not be up to snuff, but as I remember a 6" coaster would mean a 3" radius, and the formula, C = 2πr would mean that the distance around the circle is 18.85 inches 12 shots around the circumference is not going to make it with a 50 cal. Then there is the issue that if you had pinpoint aim and the center of the 50 cal bullet hit the line, the remaining part would be smaller than a 6" circle, so the radius for the aim point would have to be 0.25" larger, and thus a larger circumference requiring yet more bullets.
  19. Absolutely beautiful work. Ten hours? start to finish? Holy Moly I have a lot of room for improvement. Add me to the video request too
  20. I understand what you are wanting, never seen anything like it. why not accept the hole, and fill with a dowel of contrasting color, or after you drill/cut the circle, use a forester bit to cut a 1" hole deep enough for Steve Goods "made by me" disks Maybe, if you put one of those winged hole saw cutters in a drill press, clamp the wood really good, you could use it to cut the circle after cutting off the center drill bit
  21. Good idea, and it is free too - an added benefit I use something like these (could not find the exact ones I order they are cheaper, U-Line is expense IMO) https://www.uline.com/Product/Detail/S-705/Corrugated-Bins/White-Corrugated-Parts-Bins-6-x-12-x-4-1-2?pricode=WB0214&gadtype=pla&id=S-705&gclid=CjwKCAjwqfDlBRBDEiwAigXUaGIYjFV9zI7jpyAtWjN8RbNmGxwvDztvWae25Q2gfHsuGto9ikMeuxoCqqsQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds Added benefit is they are the same size, and I can get a few in one tote/ I wrap them with clear packing tape, bottom and the sides.
  22. Same thought I had, octagonal, shaped like the state, etc Might be a lot easier to just buy precut BB circles from woodpeckers on amazon https://www.amazon.com/Circle-Cutouts-Unfinished-Crafting-Circles/dp/B07FNYP24G/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?keywords=round+wood+blanks&qid=1555850310&s=gateway&sr=8-1-spons&psc=1 Of course then you don't get to make the jig, so I guess it is a toss up
  23. Like others have said, you are gonna love it. Congrats.
  24. Check the upper arm making sure it is parallel to the table before you tension the blade
  25. I use that same set up and I prefer it over the drill press. Practice on a scrap with lines and intersections first, it takes a little getting used to.
