The table top seems to be aluminum, when I cut a small piece it would not stick to the table top so I figured I would use double sided tape. But when I cut the whole piece and put it on there for a fit, it stuck, so it must be pulling against the steel frame under the table top

I figure at some point I will need to replace it so I rolled up the extra and put it at the back of a shelf. Now if I can remember which shelf when that day comes around things will be good. A2 paper size is not quite big enough for the Ex-21

Mine is coming up next week, we go to Vegas for a week in April (after I get taxes filed) and August, our b-day months, so I send the kids a wish list from amazon. Amazon delivers, I get what I want, heh heh a score of threads or so ago, someone mentioned using magnetic sign material on the scroll saw deck (what is it deck, table, surface you cut on, flat piece, doohickey?), so that was one of the things in the wish list. It came in, I cut it to size, nice! wood slides so easily - thank you for whoever suggested it, took off my mdf overlay first of course

count the number of holes you drill I wouldn't want to know ahead of time, hmmm do I cut this one with 30 holes or this one with 300, ahhh how much beer is there? ROFL

Admitting that I have zero experience for this, I am planning my own. I was going to use ball valves, but then too I was not going to use 4" pvc. I figure if a ball valve will hold back 30psi of water, it should be good for a vacuum too

Yeah, the first time it happened, what a surprise! It was like you were coasting up a hill cutting the red oak, then "Whoa Nellie" the blade went through the red cedar so fast! Like coasting down a steep hill kinda.

Thank y'all for your comments, I appreciate them. This was my first time cutting a glue up on a scroll saw. Amazing how you can feel the difference in wood as the blade goes from one species to another. The difference in cutting, staying on the line, from Red Oak and then Red Cedar, was amazing. Red Cedar cuts like butter!

Sorry for being obtuse, in an earlier thread I had reviewed a 4-way clamp for gluing up boards and had shown a pic of the result.

No, actually you are doing it as recommended. When I find a fairly quiet, economical vacuum, I will probably do that too. I have the radio turned on when scrolling, helps me to allow the scrolling part become more automatic (or so I tell myself). I keep thinking I will build a "dog house" outside for the vacuum, and just bring in power and hose through the wall, but I never seem to get around to it.

My prayers go out to her and her family, though I have not done business with them, their reputation is excellent and I agree, after watching cancer take Mom, it is the worst thing there is. Ray mentioned CBD oil, the stories are impressive. Not to hijack the thread, but the wife and I tried hemp oil for localized pain, ti works for us, her arthritis in her hand does not hurt her as much, and my knee loves it.
