  1. 1/8 BB scraps left, cut offs actually Letter openers, stack cut 4, red oak stain
  2. That is very nice, and kudo's to your daughter, an artist in the making I see
  3. If you say, design this for me, true he holds the copyright if you have a written agreement saying once created the copyright resides with you, then that is the case. That agreement can just be him agreeing to that in an email. Or something like "Design this for me, and when you finish and I pay for it, the copyright belongs to me." taking on the job is evidence of agreement
  4. Cutting already? wow. I've tried pine and select pine and had so so luck, bass wood cuts nice. I find it at a hobby store but you can find it on amazon too. search for basswood carving blocks I do use a smaller blade, PMG 5 and almost max speed with a slow feed rate

  6. I love the expression and the simplicity of it, very nice
  7. I'm interested in the mag lite too. But the wood planks fitted to the table top with what looks like corian on top makes me real curious.
  8. Really neat idea
  9. Thanks y'all, Appreciate the info
  10. craigslist You would be surprised at how many new in the box thing show up there. If you create an account on craigslist then you can set an alert by keyword, I set one up for scrollsaw long ago, that is how I got my ex. Got the alert, called, set up a time to get it the next day and when I got there the seller said he wished he knew then what he knows now. He said he should have auctioned it off, he got 6 calls after mine.
  11. That one and the dogs playing poker sure bring back memories, thanks for that
  12. My only experience with other saws is the porter cable, it was a good saw, but just good enough to convince me to stick with the hobby. Then I found my ex on craigslist. I wish I was near enough to somewhere that had other saws I could try, I would like to see the difference between them. But then again I hear people saying you have to get used to the different brand, so a five minute try out is really not going to matter much I think. I never did bevel cutting on the porter cable so tilting the table to do that is something I never tried, but I do love that the ex style saws tilt the head. That alone is enough to make me think twice about any other saw. I have no noise in mine at any speed, I generally keep the speed knob around 3/4 though. Go ahead take it apart, it will be interesting to hear what you find. You might as well, you know if you do not, it will be something that rattles around in your mind bugging you to no end.
  13. I meant to keep the thread, obviously didn't Several of y'all fill the fretwork with something I have heard clay and bake it, but it seems like some others have a different product to do the same thing. Product? ease of use? can you dye it? link? Dang I ask a lot huh?
  14. I have had good luck with all of the ryobi tools I have, too funny

  17. that's an ex21, I thought it was aluminum too, turns out the magnet works, it is either a coating or the frame work is near enough for the magnetic material push come to shove, double sided tape will work to hold it in place too
  18. Frank that is beautiful, very nice work
  19. The magnetic cover I put on the saw with one hole solves the issue, And playing cards still work for those Thursday night poker nights
  20. That came out great, thanks for showing the cutting

  22. Egyptian protection, sometimes a curse The Eye of Horus was a resilient healer. It could bring the dead back to life. Symbols of the Eye of Horus were often placed on mummies to make the body whole again. The Eye of Horus was also often painted on coffins so that the deceased could look through the coffin. The Eye of Horus became a very powerful protection symbol against all evil and a symbol of healing. https://goodlucksymbols.com/eye-of-horus/
