  1. Someone's mm will be very happy.
  2. That is a large sign and well done.
  3. Very nice bowl. A bugger to sand though. Beautiful.
  4. Very well done. Good to get ahead of the game.
  5. With spiral blades can cut in any direction. Breakage indicates pushing the wood and not letting the blade do the cutting.
  6. Very good for you first. Spirals are very hard to make straight lines. I suggest a flat blade.
  7. Very nice and I can see a lot of work.
  8. Way cute, Pete.
  9. I think this is one of the cutest yet.
  10. I completed three of Don's patterns and hope to do more.
  11. A work of art. The fit and shaping are right on. The use of color enhances the piece.
  12. Well done on the box, especially on the inlay. As for finish, I like clear satin, but again it is what you like.
  13. Very nice, John. If Steve had one for crochet I might make one.
  14. I asked the lady about the carriage and she has one. Dayton has a non motorized Christmas Parade every year and she enters it in the parade. It would be nice if we could have carriage rides in Dayton at other times of the year.
  15. Welcome to the forum from TN. Enjoy this fun hobby. Interesting that your shop teacher got you involved in intarsia.
  16. A update on this project. Sold. The customer came in and said it was exactly what she wanted.
  17. I just did tell the whole scrolling world. LOL
  18. As for plywood, I only use Baltic Birch plywood. For blades I use FD Ultra Reverse or New Spiral.
  19. I also love your fretsaw work. Great pattern design and cutting.
  20. Thanks for all the nice comments.
  21. Thanks, Roly, but the pattern is DonR's.
  22. Thanks again, Don. You might not notice, but I cut through a bridge in the lamp. Still came out nice.
  23. Welcome to the forum from TN. Where in MN? I lived in the northwest suburbs of Mpls for over 60 years.
  24. Thanks, DW. The frame is what I call fake barnwood. It worked well with this project. Thanks, Steve. I have made several of Don's patterns. We live about 50 miles apart, but I have not met Don. Hope to get together someday soon.
  25. A customer came into ArtCrafters last Thursday and requested a vis-a-vis carriage and horse. Not sure what she wanted, I contacted forum member, DonR. Don designed this pattern and I cut it on Monday. I used 1/4" Baltic Birch plywood 8 1/2" x 12 1/2" and back with black mat board. Of course framed at ArtCrafters. Thanks DonR. Comments welcome.
