  1. Thanks for the comments.
  2. Thanks for the comments. I used 1/2" walnut so that the hanger has something thick enough to hold.
  3. On May 6th and 7th, Dayton, TN has the annual Strawberry Festival. This pattern by Shelia Landry is a great addition to my booth at ArtCrafters. I used 1/2" Mahogany with 1/4" Red Cedar for the strawberries. It measures approximately 8" x 9". I made many candle holders by Sheila, but none more intricate than this one. I didn't count the holes, but there are nine strawberries each with 10 holes. I think I have about 5 hours into this project. Comments welcome.
  4. There are many fishing tournaments here in Dayton, TN, so I thought this would make a great addition to my display at ArtCrafters. It is a Steve Good pattern made with 1/4" Maple plywood and backed with 1/2" Walnut. I used FD UR #1 for all the cuts. It measures approximately 6" x 10 1/2". I used 50% BLO / Mineral Spirits with a final coat of Shellac. A fairly easy cut with a very nice pattern. Comments welcome.

  12. We don't have the wall space.
  13. Excellent project. Black does look good.
  14. Welcome to the forum from TN. If you are doing intarsia, your wood is 3/4" and as suggested a #3 or even a #5 is better. The kerf will be larger, but less breakage.
  15. Nice project, John. I saw that in his email. That looks like a must do.
  16. I think the address is scrollsawer.com
  17. As I said on the other forum, Scott, Amazing.
  18. I also subscribe to SWWC. I have all copies either hard copy or on DVD. I usually find one or two projects interesting.
  19. Well done on that piece. The fit and shaping are right on.
  20. Great looking basket. Aspen looks good.
  21. What's not to be proud. That is a work of art. As for finish, I prefer semi gloss.

  24. Not sure about bad beer, but with all that work I would fall asleep.
  25. Bob, I used Tung Oil Finish and two coats of Shellac.
