  1. Well done, Edward. The colors really add to the presentation.
  2. Very nice Alex. As a twins fan, I hope the Tigers lose the next two games.
  3. Thanks Paul. I did spend a lot of time on this one.
  4. Thanks, DW. I also saw your post on the other forum. Did you make any other boxes of Gary's designs?
  5. Thanks Tony. I used the green felt to hide the flaws that I could not sand.
  6. Thanks Tony. Not even sure how to display it. Right now it is just hanging on the lattice backdrop.
  7. I made this on Monday, May 16th, while the other project was drying. This Wall Pocket was designed by Sue Mey and purchased from her site. I used 1/8" Walnut and two pieces of 3/4" Aspen glued together for the sides. It measure 7 1/2" high and 1 3/4" deep. Sue suggest using Air Plants, but there are other uses. My wife, Dianne suggests dried flowers. Comments welcome.
  8. This project took several weeks of Sundays and Mondays to complete. The pattern is by Gary MacKay and found in his book 'Box Making Projects for the Scroll Saw. I used Red Oak and Bloodwood. It measures 6" wide x 5" high x 3 1/2" deep. There was a lot of cutting, gluing, and sanding on this project. Comments welcome.
  9. Sorry you missed it Kevin. Maybe next time.
  10. Thanks all for the comments.
  11. If anyone receives Sue Mey's Newsletter, today several of my projects of her design were listed. What an honor.
  12. To add, I use both 1/8" and 1/4". As a framer, I have access to free mat board which I use as a backer, almost always black.
  13. Sorry I missed the show this year. Maybe next year.
  14. Very nice indeed. Great idea.
  15. Well done on the construction of the box. The fretwork is that added touch.
  16. Well done. Nice clean cuts.
  17. Very clean cutting.
  18. Very well done.
  19. Well done and extremely nice cutting.
  20. No, it is never too early. Great looking clocks.
  21. I received a Facebook message from Sue Mey asking if she could share some of my works in her newsletter. What an honor.
  22. Very nice work. Every project looks great.
  23. Thanks for all the nice comments. I made four but none with feathers. I like the result.
  24. I agree with Jim. The rough edge of spirals would not give a tight fit.
  25. I got the pieces of bloodwood and holly from the custom furniture maker behind ArtCrafters. Worked great for the feathers.
