  3. Welcome from Montana. Looking forward to seeing some of your projects!
  4. Yes, the middle is 1/2", the next layer is 3/8", and the outer layer is 1/4", with the backer being 1/8". I figured that would give it some dimension.
  5. Well Done!
  6. Great Job!!!
  7. Nice Job!!!

  10. Wow. Great job on all three!
  11. My aunt asked me to make this for my cousin's recent college graduation. After a made my own pattern I realized it would've been a lot easier to buy a quilter's pattern. Cut it all free hand, so if you look really closely, you'll likely find a few spots where it doesn't fit as well as I wanted it to. 8 different woods used. Maple and Walnut for the center main triangles, Cherry/Cedar and Hickory/Russian Olive for the smaller triangle points, Aspen for the outer edges, and Purple heart for the boarder.
  12. It depends. If it's actual wood, I try to keep most of it to use for intarsia projects. If it's plywood, I keep the larger scraps for other projects. A lot of the small or odd sized scraps are either pitched or go to the fire pit.
  13. Happy Birthday!
  14. Congrats! I love my Jet.
  15. That is AWESOME!
  16. We got down to -11 yesterday morning, but it warmed up to the mid 20s by afternoon. Our garage/my shop has gotten down to 10, but that's only when its -40 outside. Usually it stays above freezing, although not by much. I have a few milk house heaters to keep it bearable, but have to be careful where I plug them in. It's impressive how much power one of those things will pull.
  17. Thanks to all who have and are serving. I strive to never take your sacrifice for granted.
  18. I've made my own branding irons for smaller pieces out of regular baling wire. For those unfamiliar with baling wire, it's just regular mechanics wire you can get at any hardware store. You can turn it into whatever "irons" you need.
  19. I'm right there with ya kmmcrafts. Shows in this area are like that. And to be honest, without the company-type vendors, there wouldn't be much of a show a some of them. What I find interesting is that many have restricted each company-type to only one vendor each. There's only so much Scentsy or Lula Roe crap anyone can stand anyways.
  20. Great, great job. I've gotten the same feeling about patterns. When I look at most patterns for the first time, it's like "Really, it looked so much better in the catalog". For some reason they just don't look good on paper. But once you have it cut and remove the paper, it always looks amazing in wood grain. Kinda makes finishing a tough pattern all the more special.
  21. Beautiful choice of wood! Well Done Sir!
