  1. Beautiful work Jim. Thanks for sharing.
  2. Very nice work - glad to see you have been busy with the saw. I need to find some time soon - life keeps getting in the way. Thanks for sharing and inspiring.
  3. More great work Charlie and I am sure your pastor was pleased to receive them. Thanks for sharing.
  4. Hi Charlie and welcome to the Village. Glad to have you joining us and sharing your work. We all love pictures. These are very nice - I too like the last one with the barn wood. We recently tore down a barn at my father-in-laws that was made from oak - it too was more than 100 years old. We kept some of it to work with.
  5. Don't know what my day would be like if i didn't visit the village and hangout for a bit learning from so many experts here.
  6. Sorry to hear about your neck Wayne. I will say prayers that nothing serious is wrong and that you recover quickly so you can get back to your saw. Keep us updated.
  7. Welcome to the Village from East TN. Hope you will join in the conversations and share some of your work.
  8. Glad to hear you were given a little more length on that leash and got some time to be out and about with your lovely bride. Perhaps you could point out to her that the shop is much closer and you can set it up so you can set and scroll keeping you off that leg much less then going to the store. glad you are both continuing to do well.
  9. Welcome to the Village from East Tennessee, in the foothills of the a great Smoky Mountains. Good luck with your new saw. I look forward to seeing what you are doing. I love the idea and visuals of bandsaw boxes. One day I will attempt one perhaps.
  10. Here's a link to Sue Met's site with all her "earring" designs - many could be used for earrings or pendants looks like to me. https://www.scrollsawartist.com/?subcats=Y&status=A&pshort=Y&pfull=Y&pname=Y&pkeywords=Y&match=any&search_performed=Y&q=earrings&dispatch=&dispatch=products.search#ty;pagination_contents;/index.php?subcats=Y&status=A&pshort=Y&pfull=Y&pname=Y&pkeywords=Y&match=any&search_performed=Y&q=earrings&dispatch=products.search&page=1 Sheila Landry has some pendants here: http://www.sheilalandrydesigns.com/search?searchwords=pendant&searchsmall_625599620=Search
  11. Welcome to the Village from East TN in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains. I found the village almost two years ago now and couldn't agree more, lots of friendly folks will great information and knowledge that they are more than willing to share and help newbies with. I have done so much more with my scroll saw then I anticipated when I first picked it up back then. I look forward to your participation and seeing some of your work.
  12. Nice work and I am sure your friends will love it. Thanks for sharing.
  13. Nice work Kevin and I am sure will make them all very happy to receive your good work. Thanks for sharing.
  14. You have indeed been busy. Nice work all around. Thanks for sharing.
  15. Beautiful work as always Dave. If you and your lovely wife ever want to come out and visit in East TN for a bit, I will trade you lodging for lessons.
  16. You can find Wayne's Tutorial here: http://www.scrollsawvillage.com/forums/topic/28031-making-bracelets/?tab=comments#comment-311331 Wayne, these are more beautiful work. I was one of several who had previously said a tutorial would be great and I appreciate you putting all of that together. While i have not yet had a chance to go through it in detail and give it a go, I do hope to at some point soon. I am sure others will too and look forward to seeing their work thanks to your help.
  17. Glad to hear some good news. You need to get you a chair to sit in out in the shop - maybe then the ladies will let you spend some time out there. Glad to hear your bride is doing much better and enjoying her time back at work. Continued prayers for you and that you can get some time out in your shop soon.
  18. @Frank Pellow Pete had asked for help in finding that pattern last month - in this thread here: http://www.scrollsawvillage.com/forums/topic/27981-anybody-seen-this-pattern/?tab=comments#comment-310754 several members pointed him to Sheila's site here: http://www.sheilalandrydesigns.com/product/SLD382?mobileback=Products^%2Fcategory|Previous^%2Fcategory%2F33385720|Previous^%2Fcategory%2F33385716 It is "SLD382 - Seashell Candle Tray and Charms" Nice Job Pete and I am sure your wife loves it. You should have plenty done now to add to her new decor when you get back home to Canada.
  19. I suspect most of these animal type puzzles are in fact all hand drawn.
  20. Dan, I'm thinking that if they last that long, which you indicate will take you to 76 - then you need to figure that they will NOT be the last lights you buy for your shop. My FIL, who is presently 90, and still hiking in the Smokies would tell you that 76 is Young so you might want to plan a second set for another 23 years that would take you to 99.
  21. Nice job Marg. I am sure your grandson will love it. I keep thinking I need to make something similar for my hubby and one for myself maybe. Ike, looks like Steve posted this particular pattern back in mid-Dec of last year (2017.). I too had forgotten this one if I saw it. He also had another one with a guitar that I was thinking of doing for hubby. This link will show both of those two stands on Steve’s blog: http://scrollsawworkshop.blogspot.com/search?q=Headphones
  22. I honk it looks ok as is. Especially if you put a nice looking base on it. Since you think you want to do one with the clock like a ball, why not go ahead and make that one. Show both to the client, and let them decide. Take pictures of both and put on your site then when people order, they can “see” both and make their choice.
  23. Kevin, do you have some scraps of the oak you could try the mineral oil on so you could see for yourself if you will be happy with it. I am pretty sure I did a couple of puzzles out of oak and used it and it seemed fine and showed the grain.(Not at Home to look and see for sure.) try both and see which you prefer.
  24. Nice job Pete. Dick, they are easy t get hooked on but well worth it and easy to cut.
  25. Very nice work Kevin. I couldn’ Do match without my mag light. Glad yours is helping you.
