  1. That has been my experience. A reduced diameter hinders air-flow. I use a 2.5" flex hose from my DC.
  2. Well that was interesting. Thought it might be good and easier than veining.
  3. It means you are one super Goodfella!
  4. I purchased the pliers on Amazon for around $10 or so. Lock-Line is very expensive.
  5. That's funny!
  6. I love Border Collies. Very nice!
  7. That is very nice Butch!
  8. Use it or lose it. Getting back to scrolling you will get up to speed quickly. Don't give up!
  9. Looks very, very efficient. Good thinking.
  10. I stopped using painters tape and switched to Duck clear shelf liner. I think it removes easier than painters tape.
  11. If a pattern needs enlarging I have it done in red. Otherwise I cut on black. I don't know how to use inkscape.
  12. A great big howdy to you and Snickers. Welcome to the family!
  13. Welcome to the Village! Looks like you are hooked and on your way to a great start.
  14. A BIG welcome to the Village from Colorado. Mighty glad to have you here. You'll love it!
  15. Santa came today. I got my draftsman stool today. Holy smokes, the seat is a whopping 16" diameter. I'm not a skinny fella but that seat supports about an ax handle and a half. It sure does roll around nice. My saw on wheels does not roll away from me but now the stool does. I now do have to anchor the chair to the saw with my leg but oh how comfortable. Hope I don't fall asleep at the saw.
  16. That is beautiful and the frame is outstanding.
  17. Beautiful job you've done. Aren't fuzzies fun.
  18. Yes He does! A beautiful piece.
  19. You're a smart man my friend!
  20. I agree with number three. I was cutting 1/4" BB with a #1 blade and it cut like a house-a-fire. The small blades are very aggressive on thinner woods for me and I find it hard to stay on the line. Mostly I cut 1" pine. Not very pretty but fun to cut. Looks like you are cutting very well.
  21. Cute little fella on your shoulder. That looks like a Steve Good pattern you cut. Very nice indeed as always.
  22. I bought a Lincoln 125 mig about 15 years ago. I loaned it to my best friend who was building a 7 1/2" gauge locomotive. A few weeks ago I got it back. He had to rummage a bit to find it. Another friend is building devise to twist dog bones from polypropylene rope for dogs. He needed the welder so I gave it to him in exchange for putting another gate in my DC and two dog bones.
  23. Good for you Ray! Get that SUCKER up soon. Pun intended.
  24. I have a good scroller friend who is also a welder by trade. When I showed him how I sat he offered to do something similar to what you said. He is a fabricator and could do so handily. But my system is so comfortable for me that I have no desire to change things. He's the friend that welds up horseshoes for me to make clocks. Friends are wonderful to have and that's why I am here!
  25. Good afternoon Dick. Another friend, not you but an additional friend, asked me the same question some time ago. The following photo will make it clear. Since my being right brained my left side is more dominant. I don't sit straight toward the saw but rather I sit sort of facing to the left of the saw. Perhaps it is also why left- handers write funny. I have posted in the past I wish there were a saw stand with two legs at the back and one in front so that my legs would not interfere with the legs. Soooo, I sit very close to the saw, unlike in the photo, now have the saw tilted so I sit sideways and look DOWN at the pattern. My nose is close to the pattern RED line. Pardon the capitalization. As a result of how I sit my left leg is always between the legs.
