Rocky I think this is what you might be thinking about but for the life of me I can't think what the name of it is. Maybe it will come to me.
I really like them no matter what you call it.
Very well put Jim. We all benefit from this forum. There was a time in my life when I pretty much new everything but now I think I don't hardly know anything.
Scott I was wondering what are the guidelines for the custom names? Some names would have to many letters. Also there could be some other guidelines that I haven't thought about.
You might want to think about this a little. I don't know for sure but could you pick up some vibration from the two wheels that are on the floor? I use a thing that has two rubber cups on one end and you squeeze the other end to reach and pick up something. I can't think what you call it but they don't cost much. I also have extendable wand with a magnet on one end that I pick up bolts and nuts that I drop. They always go under something.
Ray I am different than you. I made up some practice patterns and got so bored cutting them that I just started cutting easy patterns. It just works better for me.
Got my Woodcraft wish book yesterday and it has a picture of a King scroll saw on the cover. So I guess Woodcraft is selling them. The King saw sure looks like an Excaliber to me. This is good because we can parts for our EX saws.
Ray the best way to learn is to make something for someone that you know they will like. If you make one and it's a mes throw it away and make another. Do it till you learn how, then go to something else.
