I just don't see how any one person can have so bad luck. I truly feel for you!!! When you first ordered yours I was hot to trot to buy one myself but now I am glad I didn't. It's a shame that a saw that is supposed to be the top of the line has so much wrong with it. I am beginning to wonder if it's made in China.
You don't see a good scroll saw for sale around here very often. If your close to Franklin, Tn. this might be a good deal for you.

I have seen company's give gifts for how many years you have been with them. Those gifts had the companies name on them. To my way of thinking this is the same thing. I wouldn't worry about it.
A friend and I use to get a table at a gun show about twice a year and we used white bed sheets. They don't take anything away from items your selling but look neat.
Rolf I really like what you have done. I need to do some like you have done on my saw. What does it look like underneath the table where you collect the dust?
This is the first time I have seen this but with every thing you get ( stand ) I think it's a good price for the 21" saw. I would be okay with changing speeds with a belt as I very seldom change speeds. I also think I would like the way you change blades but I am not sure. Like Rolf I wouldn't like it cutting too aggressive.
I bought some food coloring a while back but haven't used it yet. I also have some black stain (oil based) that I need to try. Ahhhh!! So much to do and so little time.
I don't know if you have watched the video on You Tube about maintenance on the DW788 but he tells you what the best grease is to use. He also tells you where to buy bearings that are better and cost less. If it were me I would use the best.
The Pegas Modified Geometry blades are just about all I use now. I fell in love with them. I use the #3 and #5 and for puzzles I use #5. I really don't think they are more aggressive but it may be different for you.
