  1. I have wanted to try Hercules hangers but just never got around to it.
  2. My doctor has used the term (BM).
  3. How long has it been since you stained? The stain needs to dry and cure first. You need at least two coats of poly and the first coat needs to dry before the second coat can be put on then the second needs to dry and then cure. All this information is on the can the poly came in. Please read it because I or anyone else could be wrong.
  4. I don't think it cost that much for Grizzly to ship my band saw to me. You just have to figure that into the cost if you want a new saw. If that is what I wanted I would pay it, that is for sure. I mean it's only money!!!!!!
  5. I was looking on the Hawk site and noticed the shipping is $150. That is a lot.
  6. Yes Tony you are nuts but I like a little crazy.
  7. Hey Dan; You might be able to use a vise to press them in. Be sure and use a pad like a pine board cut down to fit your vises jaw's. If you could do that it would save you $50. If I remember right the bearings that the video suggest you getting is a better bearing bearing and cost less. Please don't skimp on the grease they recommend. Here is a link to the video and remember there are (4) Parts to the video.
  8. I have been looking on the net at Hawk saws. The thing that really impressed me was to be able to go from an aggressive cut to not so much. To me that would be a big plus as I do a variety of projects.
  9. Scott your taking advice from Dewalt who put those crappy bearings in the saw. I have some experience with bearings and oil being better than grease is hog wash. That is my story and I am sticking to it. You should contact "CharleyL" who is on this form. He has a wealth of knowledge about this kind of things. He also is very happy to help with problems.
  10. Scott just take your time and go slow. When you get tired walk away from it. A bearing may look okay but be bad. Also don't save the new bearings go ahead and put them in. You have already taken it apart. Be sure and put both the needle part of the bearing and the sleeve in at the same time. When you get it fixed you will be so proud of your self.
  11. Russell what the heck is a flash? I only know of two, a police car and a camera. I did try another computer and it does the same thing.
  12. I am just not a club person. Well I guess you could say SSV is a club on steroids.
  13. That is how I have mine set up Steve. I don't have to use the tube that blows dust off the table. The fan does it for me. I like it.
  14. Pushing side ways is so easy to do. Just slow your feed way down and let the blade do the cutting.

    Handy Tips

Your Mom bought it by the pound because she stuck you in it when you were a bad boy. I just had to say that.
  16. Well I think I have tried everything that has been suggested with no progress. I am not having trouble any where else and I am tired of messing with it. Either it will work it self out or not.
  17. Very nice Stu! I can see how you would have fun.
  18. Yep this is a very stupid question. I also would like to know the answer.
  19. Kevin I called Home Depot and they have it.. It can be bought in quarts, gallons, and five gallons. I told them what I was using it for and they said that there were some better products. I ask if they would last four years. I got no answer. People don't believe it but if you think about it you can believe it.
  20. What is wrong with it? Everything is flashing on and off and when I scroll down I can't scroll back up. What a bummer. This is the first time I have been there since every thing has changed. I may be doing something wrong. Surely not!!!!!!!
  21. Kevin I called Sherwin Williams earlier today and they have never heard of such. I will call Lowes and Home Depot naext.
  22. I agree with Miss Katie. I have bought from these folks and they are good people. If there is any damage while shipping they will take of it pronto.
  23. Kevin thanks for the tip on clear house paint. I would never dream you could buy paint this way. Do you have to buy a gallon or can you buy less?
  24. Dave I have not heard of this but I can believe it would work. I have used True Oil mixed with Armor All on gun stocks and it did very well. I have used this combo to refinish several stocks. I will have to try the Gorrila Glue on a small piece of wood and see how it does. I love trying new stuff.
  25. I bought a DW788 new and the bearings were bad or at least there was no grease in them. I took it back and bought a EX16 and have been happy. I have said this several times that if I had to buy a DW788 I would tear it down and replace the bearings. There is a lot of post on here about people having trouble with their 788's. Okay I will admit that there are those that don't have trouble "YET". I wonder if there is a repair video on an Excalibur scroll saw.
