  1. Here is a foot pedal and it's on sale. $20 and free shipping. It's the second pedal on the page. The first one I don't believe you would like. https://www.mlcswoodworking.com/shopsite_sc/store/html/ec170317.html?zoom_highlight=foot+control+switch
  2. The foot controls I have seen either turn it on on or off or another kind you have to hold it down with you foot, if you take your foot off the saw stops. They do make variable speed controls for routers that don't have variable speed control. That may or may not work with a scroll saw motor. I don't know.
  3. Hope you figure out on how to miss the traffic. You do know about the bridge on I85 being burnt out? I bet it will make traffic bad all over Atlanta but I don't know that for sure. Good luck.
  4. That isn't fair. The Brownies should get equal time. There are a lot of ladies that are scrollers and maybe the ladies are the best scrollers. Bill your doing a great thing "Promoting wood working".
  5. Scrolling is a bugger. I have been doing it for a short time and getting better but like I said it's a bugger.
  6. That won't keep Kiven down long. I bet he is a tough old bird.
  7. I haven't seen him post lately. I kinda miss that old rascal.
  8. Sorry to hear this it's so sad.
  9. Well I will offer up my 2 cents worth. I would do a test. Put the poly on a piece of the same type of wood and let it dry for 3 or 4 days then spray it with lacquer. I bet you will be okay. Most finishes not only need to dry but they need to cure. If you do the test please send me a PM as I would like to know the results.
  10. I watched the video and thought it was good but I don't understand it. I don't understand anything about Inkscape so that is the reason. What I would like is something more simple.
  11. Yep! That will do it. Nice.
  12. Brian is right and there should be a lumber company close to you that sells it. If you want mail order this is IMO the best place. http://ocoochhardwoods.com/plywood.php
  13. I agree Jerry. My daughter has two boys and the oldest is 16 and has been giving them trouble. Things like not doing home work and being disrespectful, things like that. He is doing nothing that is against the law ( that we know of). I told her when he was around 8 years old that if she didn't clamp down on him it would get worse and she would be sorry. They are now clamping down on him, I just hope it isn't to late. So at least they have changed to some degree but I know other parents who are really bad at bring up their kids. PS- The younger boy is doing fine. He sees how a butt his older brother is.
  14. Guys I think they are talking about scrolling in the living room or den something like that.
  15. I wondered the same thing at one time but there is no way to keep the dust contained.
  16. Brian I would say it's fact. Government is out of control and in my opinion that goes for the smallest town to the US government.
  17. Bobby we pay 9.75% sales tax when we buy some thing. That is a lot and our governor is wanting to raise our fuel tax. The high taxes and wasteful spending is the reason I buy as much as I can online where I don't pay taxes. I do realize that isn't going to last for ever.
  18. DW I have heard a lot of good thing about the Rikon 10" band saws. Your really going to like it.
  19. I have made two of those and in the process of making eight more. Your did a great job making your first project. Try using some better wood and go slow, don't get in a hurry. Also if you get tired stop and go back to it later. When I do something new or hard for me to do the concentration stresses me out. That is when I stop. If you are thinking about selling what you make I believe these would be a great seller. I look forward to seeing more from you.
  20. Hope you get it Iggy. I have heard they are the best saw made. I may be wrong about that but I know you will like it.
  21. In the Nashville area I buy from http://www.hooddistribution.com/locations/ They sell lumber that is in the rough and lumber that is 13/16" thick with one straight edge. I buy the 13/16" thick lumber and mill it to what I want. It's so much cheaper that way. Like red oak is about $1.50 a board foot. I am sure where you live there is a similar place to buy lumber. As others have said for a good online place I buy from. http://www.ocoochhardwoods.com/
  22. Y'all better behave your self or your wives will cut you off from scrolling.
  23. It's spring and every thing is looking up, aren't they Ed?
  24. If Heritage is that slow to ship they won't get my business.
  25. It's a bummer ain't it Wayne.
