  1. In my opinion no. It just opens the door for a lot of other stuff.
  2. I like them also and hope they become more popular.
  3. I have neuropathy in my feet and the doctor says there is no cure. I can only spend a limited amount of time in the shop a day. This is the the main reason I started scrolling. I can sit while scrolling. I also found that I like scrolling way better than I thought I would. I find that even if I go to the shop and piddle around "a southern term meaning goof off" it gets me out of the house and my mind off other things. In life you just have to deal with what is throwed at you and make the best of it.
  4. Kevin I know you love doing names, letters, and you have gotten real good at doing it. I bet you can even do it in your sleep. PS- Oops I almost forgot. Do you have a pattern that says "Make America great again" ?
  5. Bobby it isn't working for me. I saw one pattern on part one, but all the others were blurred so bad I couldn't tell what they were. Do you have to join the sight and does it cost my very hard earned money?
  6. Thanks John I have been looking for a place to buy clocks from. The last ones I bought was from Klock-Kit and they were not that good. Sloans is only about 10 miles from me. I have been wanting to go over there but I have been just to lazy.
  7. If I had to pick one "gun to my head" I would pick the 788. Since I don't have to I would save my money and get a good one. A 788 is going to cost about $500 plus tax and it may spend half it's life in the shop unless you work on it your self. Can you tell yet I have had some bad luck with the 788? If you take your time you might pick up a good saw on Craig's List but we Americans don't like waiting. Do we?
  8. Kevin there is a long video "more than one part" on You Tube showing how to repair a DW 788 saw but more important for you is they tell you where to buy quality bearings in the USA at a cheaper price than getting them from DW. Also they recommend a good grease to use.
  9. I bet you had the blades to tight. Lighten up a little and see if they still break.
  10. I agree Larry it would be nice to have a $200 scroll saw that had it all. I think most people know they aren't going to get it. The thing people really don't like is paying $500 for a scroll saw and getting junk. I am not stretching the truth either.
  11. Man 78 records!!! That is a lot. The devil made me do it.
  12. Rolf engineers work at being stupid sometimes. Just look at all the problems DeWalt is having with their 788's and it's mostly because of using cheap bearings, cheap grease, and not enough grease. There is some that will disagree with that statement but if you look at the post on this forum that address scroll saw problems I bet DeWalt will be at the top.
  13. Brian I know that will sell. Let us know how it does.

    That looks great Thomas.
  15. Very nice Denny.
  16. It's way to neat and organized.
  17. I took my dust collector off my EX16 "they come with one" because of the loud noise and small pieces getting hung up in it. The best thing thing I have come up with is these two fans. They do a pretty good job and the cost isn't to bad.
  18. Richard you can make one of these and use it with a router. Look on You-tube on how to make one. Also they have them for sale at places like Rockler. I made this plaque for one of my no-a-count grandsons. Well maybe he is okay but only when he is sleeping. He really likes to play soccer and is quite good. He is the goal keeper.
  19. Kevin you need to be very careful.
  20. When I was working at Nissan here in Tenn. the pallets that came loaded with parts from Japan had some very nice wood in them. They crushed all of them and wouldn't let you take any home. It was sickening.
  21. Very very iffy.
  22. What can you say or talk about that you can't say here?
  23. Dan I am also using the Pegas #3 MG blades to cut stand up puzzles. I like'm !!!
  24. Paul that does look like fun but I don't know if I am good enough to cut it.
