  1. And I have been throwing all my dust away.
  2. Les I have been thinking about doing the same thing. I already have two box fans that I use to collect dust.
  3. I used to love to play marbles.
  4. Set it in the sun and watch it close. It might work and it might not.
  5. I have said it several times before that I won't make anything out of MDF. I am talking about small projects like clocks and a Santa and his sleigh. If you don't seal it really well painting is a nightmare. Try these guys for some very good scroll wood. Several guys on this forum recommended them and now I do to. Now to your question. I don't have a clue on how to answer it but others will. Now ain't that a bummer. http://www.ocoochhardwoods.com/
  6. I agree with others CA glue would be my choice. I think everyone should have a 23 gauge pin nailer. You can even nail things temporarily together and take them apart again.
  7. Monti they come in many different sizes and shapes. http://www.ebay.com/itm/10-100pcs-12-X-3-mm-Neodymium-Disc-Super-Strong-Rare-Earth-N50-Fridge-Magnets-/271779855007?var=&hash=item3f47577a9f:m:mnhQi8gnC-S7vPMMSdxS9bw
  8. I use the hick out of these magnets. Any large tool that has tools like wrenches and clamps I stick them on the side of the tool with earth magnets. I have several on my table saw and the allen wrenches I need to adjust the guides on the band saw. Now that I am doing scroll sawing I keep the most needed drill bits handy attached to the drill press with these magnets. I buy them on Ebay from China so they are pretty cheap. I look for a seller that has a lot of sales and over 99% positive feedback. If they have less than 99% feedback I don't fool with them. So far so good.
  9. I have seen Steve Good do it in his videos. He has one hooked up to his Sand Flea. It seems Steve has about every tool known to man.
  10. When are we going to set sail? Great work.
  11. Dick you done good. Keep it up.
  12. So far so good Dan. I think you got the hang of it.
  13. Les like you I am new and I am trying different blades. I started with Olson but ordered some FD blades last night.
  14. I have only been using Olson but I just ordered some FD UR #3 & #5 from Mikes.
  15. I think you did well Dick. I like Christmas stuff.
  16. Coming along nicely Dan.
  17. Thanks Wayne.
  18. I was looking at a Steve Good video and he was using a pattern of a puzzle to cut a picture. I hope that makes since. Do they sell patterns with only the puzzle lines so I can cut a picture? I haven't seen any.
  19. Thanks Scott for your post. I will take your advice.
  20. Better check Kevin you might have died and gone to heaven.
  21. Thanks Matt this is good to know. You can't ever tell when one of these blowers will break.
  22. Here is how I made them Paul.
  23. I got the Olson sanding belts I ordered and have used one of them. They have grit on one side and the grit faces toward you. The part you clamp to is plastic so I don't know how long that part will last. They do work well on outside edges or inside edges that are large. I don't think they are any better than the ones I made. In fact I like the ones I made a little better. The one I made have grit on both sides which is a plus I think. The one I made the grit faces to the left and right and there is no down side to this. The bottom line is while the Olson belts work well I prefer the ones I make and won't buy any more Olson belts. PS - Another thing about the Olson belts is I don't think you can replace the belt with a new belt when you wear it out.
  24. It may have a fuse that is blown. I know my scroll saw has a fuse. You could take it back. Maybe it's still in warranty.
  25. Let me say I have not cut thin ply but I bet it would help to put tape on first. You could also put the finish on first and let it dry overnight. Just throwing ideas out there so maybe your best bet is to follow what others have said.
