  4. Cut in 1/8” Baltic Birch, backer painted 1/8” Baltic Birch. Frame purchased at Hobby Lobby
  5. I learned that when you complete a fret work project DO NOT glue it to the backer before you are ready to frame it! BOY did it get dusty. I think I will always have the frame ready before I begin the project from now on.

  10. The horse is made from walnut, the base is a piece of holly tree that’s spalted. The finish is walnut Danish oil, with silver and gold leaf paste on the horse. With natural Danish oil and a light semi-gloss on the Base A5AA2C3C-7C54-410C-A4B2-A8D3EB244DA1.MOV
  11. Don’t forget that you need light pressure holding your wood down. That is one thing that foot does.
  12. When cutting portraits, or any fine fretwork, I start in the center and replace and tape any large pieces of fallout. It helps.

  21. This is an old post. I do understand. But. My knob in the back keeps moving. I put lock tight on the set screw. I have the Pegas clamps. I bought and installed the replacement parts for the clamps. The back knob moves. I had to go back to the 788 to get my order done. Suggestions please?!
  22. I have absolutely NO experience. That said, If I was modifying my tool I would buy the product from the manufacturer for ease of support.

  24. I purchased one of the final runs of the EX 21 before the change. If I could, I would buy the Pegas. Upgraded to their clamps on my EX
