  1. When using BLO, use light coats and wipe off aftwe about 10 minutes. It absorbs into the wood, if you leave that top layer there, it will get gummy. This is why I don't use it for fretwork. Use Danish oil, mineral oil, lemon oil, or a spray finish with light coats.
  2. I try to listen to music with earbuds. The vacuum doesn't seem as loud then.
  3. Are they freshly cut. Drying your own lumber takes at least a year. It has to be sealed. You never know exactly what you're going to get.
  4. I have used that same repair shop on Capital Blvd. They do excellent work!
  5. Steve Good has a business card holder rthat iss quick and easy
  6. Thanks! That was very nice to see the little tips and tricks. I especially liked the water buckets and fitted table covers!
  7. Awww...thanks everyone
  8. I had a Dewalt type 1. LOVED IT
  9. I just finished this for a friend. I'm not sure what kind of wood that is. The butterfly is mounted with a coiled piece of copper wire. This allows height and a bit of vibration. The overlay body is walnut and the antenna are 26 ga copper wire. Steve Good design, #Shadow Butterfly, my interpretation.
  10. I have cut myself doing a,compound cut without a clamp. Lesson learned
  11. Dewalt. Hands down!
  12. After I dip, I put my project on a cookie cooling rack in a jelly roll pan to drip
  13. I have also seen things and/or tools I want/need out of stock for months! Frustrating
  14. Buy the Dewalt
  15. Glue stick for small things. Use enough or it might lift. I also like it for demonstrations because it was s less messy. Not for intense fretwork.
  16. Start slow, you can always speed up. The more practice you get, the faster you can go. I have been scrolling for around 15-20 years. I stay midrange. You have to find your comfort zone.
  17. Your puzzles are really cool!
  18. Buy a Dewalt. You won't be sorry.
  19. The most important part of this is is it a bevel cut? That's the only time it matters.
  20. I never take special orders. To many problems.
  21. Pull the thing out, flatten it on some sandpaper, you are done.
  22. Worst cut on a scroll saw happened when I was cutting a compound cut without a clamp. The piece jumped. Took 2 bandaids to stop the blood!
  23. I hated my EX 21 when I first got it. I like it fine now. I got rid of my Dewalt (type 1) and had no choice. I HAD to figure it out!
  24. What would work on an iPad for this? I no longer have a computer.
