  5. This is a nice wood for rings, however I think it would be best to use this as an inlay with a dark wood

  11. Steve good pattern, a lot more work to this than it looked like.well worth the effort though. Made it for my wife for mother’s day. This was a trial, gonna try making larger one. Maple, cherry, oak ( or perhaps another speices just like oak but darker) and Santos’s mahogany dolphin drawer pulls. Yet to put in drawer felt

  14. yes the dowels allow the lids to rotate, my son wanted to dowels on top black to stand out. pretty neat pattern, I plan on making a larger one.
  15. Made this secret box for my six year old boy, he loves it. Wanted to try and see what makeing little boxes was all about. This is poplar, I plan on doing this in exotic wood blends like I do with bracelets. This is a Steve Good pattern
  16. Cut the tree moons ago but could not decide how to finish or mount it. Cut from Japanese cherry blossom tree hardwood flooring, framed with same. Mounted on recycled plywood sample

  20. Made this one in a normal shape, it’s cool the acacia changes colors when it moves on different light, meranti is the other species

  22. Here are some pics of one that I made tonight. Take the blank, draw a circle around the hole drilled with a forester bit. draw a line across the top of the ring hole, draw another above at the desired thickness. cut it out on the scroll saw, sand and trim to perfection, apply whatever finish you want to use.Voila a funky, cool looking ring. This particular one is made of Merbau with a very thin strip Acacia on the edges. check the last pic, it should be the second one as that is the blank which is on end so you can see the cross-section of the blank.
