  2. Ha ha, yes you likely could but I have much better custom wooden rings for that, ones that come to a point...LOL thanks Dave some really are beats, I am starting to learn a trick or two about making them after about 7 or 8 now I guess.

  5. thanks! well these are just leftovers, having said that I have an idea now to piece together some pieces of wood specifically for a ring like this but instead of going across the fingers it will go lengthwise up and down the finger. I think that will be neat!

I know how life gets in the way, that is one of the reasons I have not been around here much lately. when you try the bracelets let me know I whip them out like mad now that I have the process down pat and can likely save you some time. I still feel the need to glue a couple up almost daily....
  7. Many of you know I was making a bunch of bracelets. So I had all the leftovers from the billet that I made for the bracelets. So I figured I would make these funky rings

  9. most defiantly oak, I have some that transitions directly from red to light greenish on the same board. the end grain is the key without a doubt its oak

  11. I like wood ID so I would like to see a close up of the end grain if you can post a piece? In the meantime I will check out the new layout of wood database, I see that made a significant change. will see if its easier to use or not.

  22. love them, could not pick out the repairs in the blue one. I think I like the non blue one slightly better but I am interested in the air brush idea. I was thinking of getting one last year for that purpose but did not....
