  1. Yep another great one - you do crosses very well - thanks for sharing it
  2. That's a very cool project - grats on the work
  3. That is a great idea - is the window part of the pattern or did you come up with that as an add on? Very nice project - thanks for sharing it
  4. Very nice cuts - I like them all actually
  5. I upgraded from a Wen since I wasn't sure if I would like scrolling. I couldn't afford a Dewalt or any of the high end saws and if you read the reviews and the comments here, it's enough to make your head spin - Dewalt gotta get a Type 1, not made in blah blah sheesh way too much for me. Don't get me wrong, I have quite a few Dewalt tools - drills, planer, cordless, nailers and they are all top notch The Delta however is very similar to the Dewalt and it was almost half the price and right now Amazon just lowered the price to $322! Oh and to answer your question, I love scrolling with it. It's easy to load blades, the table is plenty big for my purposes so far and the blower works LOL.
  6. Nope not at all. I've been working with it for 2 days now, cut 6 puzzles and no issues with interference at all. I load blades from the bottom so again no interference. I do have to lift and prop the arm higher to do fret work/feed the blade but that's just a technique adjustment
  7. Not yet no, still testing out the overall feel. The pieces wouldn't go far anyway
  8. So far no not at all. The position is such that it is on the side and out of the way
  9. Well I can't see any of what you are describing because the piece you posted looks incredible! Flaws and all. It's way beyond my abilities and patience to even attempt such a fine work, and I would not even dare to compare my piddly little failures to yours with that incredible piece. Is there no way to salvage the build? If it were me, I would step away for a time and come back and try to repair it. Maybe recut a few pieces? Anyway, I feel for you with all the time invested in that beautiful piece!
  10. No worries, I agree with you actually. The amount of time I have to spend trying to find the right combination of hoses and attachments is just insane! I refuse to pay exorbitant prices for different size connectors that go to different size hoses etc. But I am zooming in on the final solutions for a few of my set ups. It makes it more difficult for me since everything is mobile and I seldom work outside except when breaking down large sheets.
  11. I just purchased and installed a Wen air filtration box last week - it actually does very well. I have a few more machines I need to work the dust on but it is getting better. The scroll saw so far is good so I can focus on the next dust project - sanding
  12. I've hooked up my scroll saw to my shop vac, instead of my main dust ctrl (HF 2 hp). However, after a cut I was covered in dust. It was really terrible LOL. So, I changed one of the hose configurations and wow what a difference. Here are before and after pics of the change: Before the change - hose went straight towards the blade about 3 inches from the blade I removed the small adapter piece that was at the front of the hose. Then I added a pvc elbow plus a short length of pvc and now the hose is aimed downward directly next to the blade. It is held in place by several wire ties (I know not the most elegant but it's working). The blower is on the left side so it blows the dust toward the pvc elbow. Much better now and very little to no dust at all. Side view Rear view with the pvc Y connector which was there before... Thanks as always in advance for reading.
  13. Here ya go - you probably already know and do this, but it really helped me alot...
  14. I had to hang a track light today, which kicked my butt. Finding studs in my textured ceilings are a real PITA! Anyway, I did manage to cut one puzzle today. And a BIG shout out and thank you so much to @heppnerguy, Dick for some great advice on how to cut straight lines Dick - it worked like a charm... YOU THE MAN!!!! So here is the newest addition to my collection, cut in Maple, Pegas #3. Not sanded or finished yet, that is later in the week. Also I left the wheels patterns on because the detail cuts require a small drill which I somehow lost during the hurricane and just re-ordered for delivery tomorrow or Thursday. Thanks as always in advance for reading
  15. That is way cool, thanks for sharing it
  16. It sounds to me like you're cutting at an angle. Is the blade 90 degrees to the table and is the table leveled? Those would be my guess. I make puzzles all the time with Maple and a #3 MG with no issues
  17. Incredible - thanks for sharing! You've got the patience of a saint I think
  18. Oh thanks Denny Forgot to add: Cut from Maple, with Pegas #3 M.G.
  19. I was able to knock out a couple of puzzles today, hope you like:... Not sanded or finished, that comes later in the week Update: Forgot to add - Cut from Maple, with Pegas #3 M.G. Thanks as always in advance for reading
  20. I was using Pine, with a Pegas 12 M.G. - but today I was cutting maple with a pegas 3 m.g.
  21. That's a good idea. Does it help with motivation to finish or does it help with re-focusing or the fact that you finish a project to give you satisfaction?
  22. You really got this intarsia thing down. Nice job!
  23. Nicely done, I tried to make a cross this weekend, can't cut a straight line if my life depended on it
  24. I found a bunch of patterns set up for cutting pre-hurricane, so I knocked out a few. At least I got to scroll for a few minutes. Nothing special, but interesting what/how I was doing in 2018 an now. A few ornaments, earrings and backdrop odds and ends Thanks as always for reading
  25. Thanks for another great vid. I aspire to do as well as you with my hobby Hoping to do an event this spring - we'll see if I have enough inventory.
