  1. Very nice - I like them both and a worthy cause to boot - that's a win/win!
  2. Very cool , I love those thanks for sharing
  3. Yes, sometimes - it depends on the water content of the wood, your local weather etc I have tried several times to remove the bow from large pieces of plywood - it has always come back no matter how long I let it acclimate or sit. I have always had to cut out the bow and use the sides. This is the reason I try not to order too much wood anymore, as I've had to do this on several large 1/4" and 1/2" boards - really pisses me off because plywood is very expensive here. At least to my wallet my suggestion is to see if you can use parts of the board where the bow is not - usually on the sides you can cut away the bow if you can't get the bow out. Just my 2 cents worth
  4. No worries... I know you were - but I really don't know where most of my patterns come from.
  5. Honestly, I have so many dang patterns and have no idea where they came from So if they belong to anyone here or anywhere else - thanks for the patterns
  6. LOL I built one of those as well a while ago. Great minds... Thanks for sharing
  7. Grats on the new toys - can't wait to see your new cuts from the new saw
  8. Nicely done! Oh and nicely done getting you both interested in the same hobby/work load
  9. All good advice - I had the same issue when I started. I no longer cut single sheets and only stack cut. Also use a #3 reverse skip when I do baltic - but hey I don't know what I'm doing either so LOL.... Good luck
  10. I cut a couple "aminals" today - Pegas #3 MG Needs some color for the penguin, probably going to Red Mahagony stain the horse and both need some gloss poly. Also, put up a new kitchen cabinet in the garage (more storage is always a good thing for me LOL). Also started a new woodworking course so I may not be posting much over the next week or so - see how it goes - there are 16 projects in the new course but I doubt I'll do all of them Thanks as always for reading
  11. Thanks - that's about a 4 hour drive for me
  12. Incredible stuff - thanks for sharing Love the western/native american theme stuff as well
  13. LMAO - yah, even my wife is getting hooked and doesn't complain when I want to buy a new tool or new supplies
  14. HF for me as well - works great and you can get a coupon/discount for it as well
  15. Very cool - I love doing dragon themed stuff Thanks for sharing
  16. Thanks @Bpardue Any particular reason you use dyes on the poplar? What type and brand of dyes do you use if I may ask.
  17. Sweet! Love the "accident" with the can - I guess you never know The John Wayne looks great as do the others
  18. LOL - I did that but couldn't get the whole board in one frame. I ended up taking 3 pics to get the whole layout - when I went to glue them down, I must have flipped a few of the duplicate cuts and lost the 2 spaces
  19. Very cool What paint did you use for the puzzle? I'm going through that dilemma now
  20. Thanks @Sycamore67 Right now I'm using Poplar for woodimal type puzzles
  21. What does one use to color wood puzzles? I have Acrylic paint, but I'm concerned that painting the pieces would cause them to not fit properly after wards. I've tried food coloring, but I can't seem to get a good coated color. Thoughts? Thanks as always in advance for your help
  22. All nicely done - the 2nd is my fav as well!
  23. OMG you're insanely good - I can only aspire to be half as talented and 1/4 as good a cutter. Thanks for sharing another incredible piece - I hate you! LOL J/K
  24. Wow - very nice - thanks for sharing
