  1. When I started I did the exact same thing - I've only been scrolling less than a year now, but I've learned that having multiple projects are sometimes ok. For example: I may start and cut one of my puzzle projects, but not get to apply the finish for months I've started a few plates with a lot of fretwork, and leave them when I get bored with the holes and small cuts and move on to a silhouette so I have a finished cut piece. I often have 4 or more projects waiting for either a pre-stain/stain, dye or more often than not a frame. I like making my own frames and often I'll line up 4 or more cut projects and leave the cutting until I've made a bunch of frames So basically you're not alone LOL
  2. Sweet! Try as I might I've not been able to get an intarsia project even close to finished - thanks for sharing yours

  4. I recently began working in a paint store and have learned so much about finishes... A few suggestions: Use spray paint instead of brushing - either in a can or with a spray gun if you have a compressor - this is how I paint my furniture projects. The poor paint quality can often "clump" on wood - try using a sealer first or primer and/or a better paint Instead of paint try food coloring/ dyes - they maintain the wood grain and promote very nice and bright colorings I'm not really a fan of painting wood myself, and much prefer to use stains - however, there are some pieces that just scream for color and which I prefer to use food coloring and dyes. Hope it works out for you
