  1. I also just had a great customer service with them and it was Richard that helped me. I purchased my Pegas chuck heads from them also and had the thumb screw ends and set screw ends wear out very quickly. I emailed them on Saturday when they were closed and had a return email at eight am Monday morning. Richard rushed out two new sets of swivels and set screws at no charge. They also sell Pegas blades at a very good price I thought. I am going to try them next time I need blades. I have received several emails from Richard on tips for sanding down my thumb screw tips and cleaning blades. I already knew all the things he told me but it was still nice that he cared enough to email back. grizz
  2. I liked the Creative Crafts and woodworks, as I really liked the Christmas issue with all the ornament patterns.. I had just renewed my subscription for three years when they went bankrupt. In my opinion it was a much better magazine. I do not subscribe to the newer one. grizz
  3. They also have Pegas MG blades for $ 3.40 a dozen or $ 29.95 a gross as well as other Pegas blades.
  4. parts for the Pegas Chuck heads are available at QTE North America out of California. The swivel tips part # 90316 for the thumb screws are $ 2.30 and the nut and set screw part # 90302 for the left side is $ .80 plus shipping. Not too bad. grizz
  5. 36 degrees here Kevin and I still run my heater. Guess I am already old. I have a small 220V heater that I have had for several years. It heats my shop on low very nicely. Not sure what it costs to run but I don't think its to bad. Even on very cold days it just takes minutes to warm up and be comfortable. Never have run it off the low setting even when very cold. Not sure what brand I have but I paid around a 100.00 for it. Enjoy your inside time today. grizz
  6. Tony, Thank You for all the information, I am going to try those things, especially the feeler gauge idea. I had new tips purchased from Ray at Seyco but will use the board trick to touch up the old ones for future re-use.  Thanks again, Happy scrolling.

  7. Thanks for the information on how to sand the tips, I will use that. Also never though of the feeler gauge trick, I am going to try that as well I think that will help, I had some new tips on hand purchased from Seyco. Actually the company I purchased my Pegas chuck heads from are sending me new tips to replace the other ones. The tips I have from Seyco seem tp fit the Pegas thumb screws just fine. I will see if there is a difference when I receive the Pegas ones. I don't think there will be. grizz
  8. Yes they do seem to take short cuts and cheapen things up Kevin. They also seem to have control problems and run bad batches of items as well. I already have several extra sets of tips I recently purchased from Ray. I must have been anticipating needing them. I must need to take more time sanding down the old ones as I seem to not get them flat and they don't last very long. Well I got my griping out of my system for a bit back to the saw and making sawdust. thanks all for the input. grizz
  9. I understand how to do that but don't think it should be this soon. I have been scrolling over twenty years and have had to sand the ends before to get extra life out of the tips but not after three months and paying that much for something. Thanks for all the feedback and tips. I didn't realize there was that much difference between the Dewalt thumb screws and the Seyco/Excalibur ones. I believe I have a set of Dewalt as I used to have A Dewalt saw. Still making sawdust anyway. grizz
  10. I put my new Pegas Chuck heads om my Seyco saw about Dec.1 2018. Love them. Yesterday the blade started slipping out of the top and bottom holders. I clean all my blades with spray brake cleaner and a cloth to remove any oily residue before using them I spent hours trying to figure it out as I was trying to finish a project for a friend. Finally took the thumb screws out of my other saw and put them in. Fixed the problem. I would not think that the thumb screw sets would wear out so quickly. I have had them last on other saws for up too a couple years. I did take the allen screws out of the left side of the holders on the Pegas heads and they appeared to be contacting only about half the surface. The end of the thumb screws appeared to be worn as well. I could not find an address to contact Pegas. Has anyone else had this issue with their Pegas chuck heads? grizz
  11. Don't care whose pattern it is Ray I like it. Very nice job. grizz
  12. I also use a piece of scotch tape on the small area if it starts lifting as I use the shelf liner exclusively and this seems to solve the problem so far. As Paul said there is not much surface area to hold the sticky. Good luck grizz
  13. I will clean the shop and keep it running. Thanks guy's grizz
  14. When I said my shop was dusty I meant there was no lack of dust for the air cleaner to collect. I will give it time. I am sure it will work fine grizz
  15. Appreciate the feedback. You are right I was expecting it to catch everything I believe. It is mounted on the ceiling about eight feet off the floor. The box fans are right by the scrollsaw and another by my sander. I would like a vacuum but they are so darn noisy. My lungs are what I was worried about when I purchased the Wen. Thanks again grizz
  16. I just put up my new Wen 3410 air cleaner a couple days ago. Been running it on high and leaving it on for two hours after I leave the shop. I don't see much dust collecting and my shop is dusty. Maybe I am expecting to much. I thought there would be a lot more volume than there is. Also maybe I have not waited long enough for the filter to get dirty. I have a couple regular box fans on my bench with a filter attached to then and they catch plenty of dust. anyone have any input. My shop is fairly small, maybe 300 square feet. grizz
  17. I agree kevin, they lied to me at least three times. Just own it and say they didn't get the items shipped. I certainly will not be ordering from them again any time soon. grizz
  18. great, live and learn I guess. I have not heard back since I requested a refund on my priority shipping and I probably won't.. Going to try to send the bad blades back but am sure I will get no response. I did get my new Wen air filtration system up today. It is the smaller one. Does not seem to have as much volume as I expected but I guess time will tell. grizz
  19. I finally received my Pegas MG blades that I ordered from Lesleys Patterns on 12/22/18 because DnD was out of #5's. I ordered on 12/22 priority mail got conformation on 12/26 that they shipped. Waited and waited and no blades. On 01/03 I emailed them and they said they would look into it. No further response. On 01/04 I emailed again and they said they were stuck in Connecticut in the post office. The post office cannot hold up priority mail. They said they would reship on 01/04. Finally got the blades today 01/09 and they were shipped 01/07. Not happy. Also the #5 blades had the notch cut in the top of the blades. I did email them and let them know I was unhappy and they needed to refund my priority shipping fees. We will see what happens. On a good note DnD has blades again and I ordered them yesterday and they shipped today. So beware if anybody orders from Lesleys you might have to wait a while. grizz
  20. Happy Birthday. Sounds like a great Christmas grizz
  21. Palidin, I ordered the FDPSR1 blade. I have used these for some time and immediately noticed something wrong when I received the blades. They did exactly as you described. Jumping, burning, and seemed quite dull. I called WTB and they said they had not had any complaints and to try a couple more dozen, which I did. Still the same results. I called WTB and she said they had more complaints and they would get in touch with the manufacture. About four days later I received new blades to replace the bad ones and a phone call to see if I was satisfied.. These seem to be okay. I would definitely give them a call. grizz
  22. Kevin I just ordered some #3 and #5 Pegas MG blades from Lesley's Patterns LTD. $36.00 a gross. They shipped quickly but because of the Holiday I have not received them yet I will let you know how they turn out as soon as I receive them. To bad you are having problems. I ordered a couple gross FD blades from WTB a couple weeks ago, they would not cut worth a darn. Called WTB up and they contacted the factory and sure enough they had a problem. WTB replaced them very quickly. Pegas is not the only ones with issues. grizz
  23. I just purchased a 3x5 or 3x6 ( can't remember which ) piece of rewritable board ( Masonite ) it was white for about $ 11.00 at Lowes. I like the white color. I did the same, cut it to the dimensions I wanted and used double sided tape to hold it down. It's been on for almost a year and still looks great. grizz
  24. Merry Christmas to all on SSV. grizz
  25. I use a #58 and #60 for my ornaments. Mostly the #60. I got 10 of them off ebay a couple years ago for $12.00. I can't remember the brand at the moment but they were excellent. Went to buy some more recently and they were like $35.00. Guess I should have bought more when I had the chance. grizz
