  1. Well Scott you are going to have to shop around to see if there is a local supplier around somewhere. Lucky I have one 60 miles away. I can get a 12in x 12ft x 1in poplar board planed down to 3/4in for 43.00. I do have to do a bit of sanding though. The other route is like everything else these days ( raise your prices ). Not really what I like to do but you have to survive. Hope you find you a better supplier soon.
  2. I take the tension off when I am done for the day. Personal preference.
  3. I agree he has very fast service.
  4. I like the wood Scott, but am sure both styles have their place.
  5. Having Trouble with my replies for some reason. I will see if you get this. No problem with B/W I only have a B/W printer. Again thank you for doing this for me.

Hey, anything for a fellow scroller. I got lots of help from the good folks here on the village so I'm just paying it forward. I get as much enjoyment out of the Village as I do scrolling.

  6. I glued two 3/4in. pieces together and then cut to 11/4in on m y table saw. Still not ideal but it works if you don't try to do short pieces. Good lick
  7. Good Morning Ray. I hope you are surviving this damn virus thing. I don't need to go anywhere but since I can't now I want too Lol.  If you get a chance I would like the plans for that bowl to see if I could cut one.

Thank You  Take care and stay safe

Here ya go. I included a 2 page plan for a bowl press. I made one and it came in handy. I didn't make the wood nuts that they show how to make but I'm going to in the future. Makes it a lot easier and faster to use. Good luck with this project. It's fun. I'm going to make some more but first I have some other stuff I want to make.

Looks like that was a job just scanning this. I will not be making this for a bit either as I have several projects started. I sure appreciate you sending me this. I have it all printed out for future use. Thank you

Sorry it's in b/w. I had a setting wrong on the "save as" screen. I'm going to do it again in color when I have time. That is not a difficult project. Just read through it a couple of times. You've got a great saw for angle cuts.

  8. Nice job Ray. My stuff never looks like that
  9. Mine is just like that Rocky. I don't like it but that's what we got here.
  10. I have quite a few done but you are way ahead of me Scott Lol
  11. You might be right on that one Kevin. It does work on the pegas though. Lol
  12. This may not be the way to do it but I lightly run my thumb up the blade before I put it in. If it is in the right position you will feel your thumb catch on the teeth. If it is upside down your thumb will just slide up with no resistance. It may not work for you but it works great for me. I check every blade. If it is upside down it will not track and cut straight.
  13. About three years I had two gross FD #1 silver reverse that were bad. would not cut anything. I had them for a while but still contacted the seller. They replaced them immediately and told me to keep the bad ones. The new blades were fine. I still have most of them due to switching primarily to Pegas blades. I would definitely call the seller and see what they will do. Most times they would rather replace them than lose a customer. Good luck.
  14. Very good work
  15. Happy Birthday. Hope you get to make some sawdust.

Thanks Grizz. I'll get back to saw dust once this really ugly weather passes.

Its really nice here in Oregon but the darn wind likes to blow. You back there with the Tornado's. I used to live in Mo. and that's one thing I don't miss and the humidity.

  16. Happy Birthday Ray.
  17. Oh they will Denny, but when I need more I will be back to order from you. I go through quite a few. Doesn't look like to many craft shows this fall so we will have to see what happens.
  18. I received my blade order today Thanks Denny for a very quick shipment. I didn't need any but with all that's happening I thought I might as well stock up. With free shipping over $35.00 and a 10% discount I couldn't go wrong. That allowed me to order some spiral blades and a few other blades I wanted to try out as well as my normal stock. Thanks again Denny for the excellent service.
  19. Well Paul it was just that old Hegner anyway. Just kidding you, I hope you get it fixed soon
  20. John if you go to WWW.scrolleronline.com and hit the 3D projects then hit all on the left side the birdhouse ornament patterns are there. I didn't search them all but there were a couple different sets that I saw. I believe they are the same ones.
  21. Hi Denny. Are you completely closed for now or are you still filling blade orders. Probably a dumb question but I had to ask.

    Thanks

Hi Denny I hope I am not being a pest. I started making a couple of those miniature birdhouses. They are fun once I figured it out. Could I ask you what thickness board you used for your birds?

      Thank you

      Hi Grizz.  I use 3/4” stock.  I cut the pieces 3/4” x 3/4” x 1 1/2”

Actually that was a dumb question. As soon as I hit the submit button I realized all I had to do was measure the pattern. Must be tired today. Thank you very much Denny. Have a great day and stay safe.

  22. I really like those Denny. Which pattern book did you find those in. I looked up her patterns but she has more than one book. A bit expensive so I didn't want to get the wrong one
  23. Very good work Denny.
