  1. Some serious engineering going on there.
  2. John, I use shrink wrap film for my puzzles. The impulse sealer is reasonably priced and the film is almost no cost when divided amongst the number of items you can wrap with a roll. Any heat gun will do the trick. I have the 400mm one and it has done everything I needed it to. On Ebay they are $52.00 AU so would be much cheaper in the US. If you do get one, I would suggest you get a couple of spare elements and teflon tape. cheers
  3. Great response to a great gift.

  8. A great job on that Edward
  9. A great gift of a nice cutting
  10. Kevin, I know how lending stuff can go pear shaped pretty quick. I have a rule I"ll never lend cash, my car or tools. The 1st 2 can be over ridden by immediate family I will never borrow anything either after an experience I had many years ago. I borrowed mates belt sander, well it broke, so I bought him a new one. If I'd just bought the new one myself I'd of had a sander and no embarrassment. Lesson learnt
  11. I had to find a birthday present for good friends 80th Birthday, she has 2 King Charles Cavaliers. After a bit of hunting I found a pattern by Sue Mey of a key/leash rack. She loved it. 4 tray more puzzles. The number one I scanned from an old book a long time ago, the Plane picture I got from a colouring book and just divided it into pieces.
  12. Super nice Roly. I love the use of a real horse shoe.
  13. What a great gift. Unique.
  14. I can really appreciate the craftsmanship and patience it took to create such an intricate piece of work. Superb job
  15. A great addition to the Christmas decos
  16. Very well done. Not much more to say, super.
  17. that would dress up any little boys room. Great.
  18. That truly is a sweet piece
  19. It's all year around here Kevin. They just don't seem to be able to build a road that lasts more than a year or 2. Frustrating when they have a stop and go man on a 200km stretch with nothing either side and you have to wait for 20 minutes to go then go 40kph for the next 10 ks. But I suppose it's better than a wagon on a track.
  20. That is a great display Pete I'm sure the Niece will brighten these up in no time at all. I used to do quite a bit of archery. <Loved it, but every now and again you just have to make a big noise As for summer, I haven't given it a thought yet.
  21. A very nice piece, I can see that on a desk set with a pen holder and clock, or paper clip.
  22. Great job, especially for a 1st. I like it a lot.
  23. Nasty one Brenda, Glad it seems to be healing up OK. Quite a few years ago when I used to do archery, I made a mate a box for his bow. arrows and other bits and pieces. He lined it with a felt type material. When using Super glue to fix clamps for the arrows, it produced quite a bit of smoke. Just the other week I glued I got a few drops on my fingers and glued two of them together. I had a tube of "Debonder", I used the whole bloody tube and fingers still stuck. Hot water and perseverance finally gave me back the ability to scratch my ear
  24. Both are nice but I do like the puzzle a lot.
  25. You could do a lot worse than consoling yourself with Elvis. Nice cutting and a nice pattern.
