  1. Looking god, just don't let the War Office in, or she may decide she likes this better than the other I like the white walls, makes everything nice and bright.
  2. That's a hard one, especially if the lower ply is staring to show through.. Can you cut it down a little and put a frame around it? If not I'd try a light stain, like oak, but sand it nicely (and Carefully ) down to 360g by hand beforehand,. You did an excellent of cutting him, your mate should be pretty chuffed.
  3. I have an Excalibur, and Ray has been quite brilliant helping me sort problems, having said that and not seen or used either the Seyco or Pegas, I would opt for the Pegas. I have their blade clamps and if the saw is made half as well as they are You'd be on a winner.
  4. that's a cool cutting Gary. great gift for those who like a little peace and quiet.
  5. Very nice Jim. I've been knocking out the od decoration between other jobs. They are a fairly slow seller here, but they something relatively cheap for the kids to buy.
  6. I put mine in the vice and give them a good going over with a standard oil stone. Does the trick. Put a decent nick in one the other day, A bloody hidden nail, so one side of that set is RS
  7. A good result.
  8. A real beauty Brenda. I could never get into Pooh when I was a younger. I really do appreciate the humour and messages in the stories now. "After all, one can’t complain. I have my friends." — Eeyore
  9. Here's a link to one I made for a mates wedding.
  10. I always give mine 2 or three coats or acrylic lacquer (Automotive clear) this contains UV inhibitors. It won't stop the lighter timbers from yellowing, but it does slow down the process quite a bit. and seems to reduce the effect.
  11. Very nice and very unique and interesting design.
  12. Super nice job Dave.
  13. Super neat surprise and a piece that could become an heirloom.
  14. Very nice Kev, I like the retirement plan and the box is a real beaut. Very different. Not sure about the cat with a few thousand volts running through it
  15. Very nice, now to mount it on an old looking board. I love it.
  16. Nice ones Dan. I like the way you have turned them into tree decorations.
  17. There's no keeping a good man down. Another two nice ones Kev.

Excellent pattern and cutting. I have a fascination with all WW1 and WW2 planes. In the early to mid 60's I was allowed on board a Dakota at the Kalgoorlie airport. It was fitted with stretchers and used by the RFDS (Royal Flying Doctor Service)
  19. Have been re-sawing some western red cedar. I was given 1/2 doz 100mm x 100mm veranda posts. I like the smell, but but only in small doses. Had to evacuate the shed. Letting it settle before I run the boards through the thicknesser and sander. That stuff stinks.
  20. Good ONYA for getting back to it. I too had quite a bit of time off. Some things just got in the way of shed time.
  21. Glad everyone and everything is OK. Sad about he loss of the trees, but as has been said, there is a silver lining in a heap of nice timber if you can use it. take care
  22. Really really nice. Love all the animals that make up the total.
  23. Have messaged you Ralph
  24. Ralph, It's spray on mate. I have a compressor and guns. I do believe I have seen it in pressure pack cans, don't hold me to this though.
  25. Peter, you can get it from Super Cheap Auto. in 1litre, 2 litre and 4 litre cans. You can also get the multi purpose thinners there in 4 litre cans. I thin it 50/50. Cheers mate
