  1. I'm sure they will hang that in a place of pride.
  2. a superb job
  3. Nice key rack
  4. I'm with you on that Les. The only downside of making puzzles is putting the buggers together. Sometimes I swear, it takes me longer to assemble one than cut it
  5. Interesting idea, but calling somebody and artist who makes stuff that looks like that really is a drawing a long bow. I wouldn't have it in my shed never mind my house
  6. A complex and nice piece. You did great picking up somebody else's piece half way through.
  7. I have used frosted shower curtain as filters. It works very well, I have 3 lights, both sides and top. Brighter bulbs I think are the trick. Will get some when we get back from Perth next week and have a shot.
  8. Great idea Iggy. I used to make key racks and they sold very well. As for Ray's suggestion I use a wing nut bit to drive in cup-hooks, square hooks and screw eyes.
  9. They did have a facebook page. It started out as a quarterly, hard copy but I think only a couple of editions were printed.
  10. I have just built a Light "Soft" box to photograph my items. Still experimenting with it. I think I need some more powerful bulbs, but so far I am pleased. I made it quite large so that (Hopefully) the largest portraits will fit. The Snail and Dinosaur are hand painted, The Blinky Bill ones are from a calendar my daughter had, I think it must be about 25 years old. The stand up puzzles are cut from 27mm pine.

Looking good Les. That looks like a challenge to cut. The frame is nice too.
  12. Super picture ................................... Oh and great scrolling
  13. Very nice Kevin. I can see why the truck would sell well. I must admit that Copyright laws are a mud hole. If I took a photo of a "Dodge Dart" that photo is mine and I can sell prints and the original. If I painted a picture of a "Dodge Dart" that painting is mine and I can sell prints and or the original. That much is true, in Australia anyhow. Now if someone asked me what the picture was of "A car" but what type of car. "I can't tell you' can you write it on the photo so I don't forget "Nope because it would infringe copyright" Keep on keeping on mate.
  14. I've also used a heat gun on the blue tape, if I don't get to cut it for awhile, it can be a bugger to get of. Normally, within a few days of even a week it is no problem.
  15. I like it Steve. Ity's hard to get a nice picture that tells the whole story with reflective materials. I have used mirrored perspex as backing for some of my small boxes. Everybody liked the effect. (they must of as they sold pretty quick )
  16. Looking good Harry
  17. Nice cutting Les. You almost have the timber covered in blue tape, so just add a bit more and cover the whole face. Glue the pattern onto the tape. This my SOP. I just use a glue stick to fix the pattern to the tape,
  18. Nice Brenda. My daughter would of killed for that, when she used to put on Halloween parties.
  19. A fun place to keep out of trouble.
  20. Reminds me of all the stuff under my bench
  21. Nice puzzle. He does look a little stunned
  22. It definitely works. Brenda. I have made one for both my saws. I don't use them very often. When I'm cutting portraits etc once the blade becomes blunt, it has also weakened so you won't gain much with thin blades. However when I'm cutting 25mm of thicker solid timber with #5 + blades it almost doubles the life of them.
  23. I find you miss out on a whole demographic if you don't have something for the rug rats. They nippers stuff can make the difference between a so,so market and a good one. BTW they are neat puzzles.
  24. You have few there Eugene.. Some real beauts.
