  1. We all have 'rough' days but I think I can speak for all on here that we find our Scrollsaws a place of peace. I feel so much better when I'm cutting. I too like you never even knew what a scrollsaw was before my husband bought me one, but like you I joined this family and with their help and advice so freely given, I've gone from strength to strength, and so will you. Enjoy the journey, I know I'm constantly amazed that I went from my little 'witch' to my 'gorilla' in just 12 months.
  2. I think you did a grand job on that. It's very nicely cut. I suggest you keep it to remind you in the years to come where you started. I kept my first silhouette, it's hung above my cooker in the kitchen and I still love it. Your scrolling journey will be amazing, you'll learn and grow and have a wonderful time, I know I'm loving every step of my journey.

  12. Stunning. I think you are definitely past the 'apprentice' stage, well done. I'm sure it took a lot of people a lot longer to get such a beautiful result. Congratulations.
  13. Great stuff. Lovely craftsmanship. !! It would take me a month of Sundays to do that many pieces.

  15. Beautiful.
  16. Yes, I do. It works very well for me. Easy to take off. I also just print on normal paper, spray with glue and fix straight to my wood. For me gluing straight to the wood is easiest as a dab of mineral spirits lifts the whole thing off almost instantly.
  17. Not been able to get to my saw for the last couple of weeks. Was on my own today so I did an easy one, just to cheer me up. No finish on it yet, I've to decide whether to have it backed black or brown.
  18. Very nice. Your neighbour will love it I'm sure
