I'm with you on that. I try really hard to stay on the lines. (I use 'red' lines as I can't see where my blade is on black) Sometimes as has been said 'the lines move' but I still try my best to stay on them.

Love them both but I understand fully what you mean about the tiger. I cut this pattern last summer just because I had to and it's still in my 'done' box with nowhere to go
