I did this today as a gift for my friend of 40yrs + for her birthday. Is it ok? or should I get her a bottle of perfume Also, a question for all you more 'experienced than me' people. Do you think I should 'widen' some of the lines on the first cat? I'm not sure that it wouldn't look a little better if the lines were a little wider around the nose, mouth and cheek.. I hated doing this pattern almost as much as the pattern hated me !! This is my 4th attempt at it and I went so slowly that I'm pretty sure that most of you would raise an eyebrow in bafflement. However, it was the only way I could actually do it. It drove me mad !! Don't know why, it looked straight forward enough on paper but I just found it so difficult to cut.

Not having a good day, so went to the shed and kept some company with a Giraffe, a H.Botas pattern. It kept me occupied for a while.

So glad that you've finally come out of that long, long tunnel but Please look after yourself Dan. It's great that you are back at your saw, but take time out often to rest. Your back may need strengthening but gently, gently does it. It's the only one you have. With Best Wishes, Brenda x

Your artistic talent is in how you chose the wood and decided what to cut. I think it's a work of art and I'd proudly have that on my wall.

I never thought of that. I'm not au fait with these things and that never even dawned on me. I thought someone had stolen your photo. LOL, now I feel a bit daft. I was a little put out and cross to think someone had ''stolen' your beautiful work Sorry for the mistake. xxx
