Welcome, you'll enjoy this site, everyone is so helpful and friendly. Not sure where NC is as I'm not familiar with places in the USA, but hope you are avoiding the worst of the weather.
Ok, never tried this before, but nothing ventured nothing gained. Let me know if you can see/work with it.
The base is just an Oval with a slot cut in it to fit the lady. I have the pattern if needed.

Having done my own pattern I had to make adjustments to both the 'cogs' and the base to make the 'figure' fit and the napkins fit nice and I also folded them as @innar20 suggested. However I'm really pleased with the end result. As you can see from the 'before' and 'after' photos a little paint and some better technique makes such a difference.
