  1. Oooh, Gorgeous. No wonder someone wants to buy it. I'm new to the scrollsaw so have no idea of value, but it must be worth quite a bit considering the work and skill that's gone into a piece like that.
  2. Welcome Andy, I agree, it's a lovely friendly place to come. Are you in the USA or Scotland ? There's a Stonehaven in both
  3. Beautiful, I love it
  4. Brilliant, I'd buy that !!!!
  5. Thanks, I'll tell him what you said, hopefully it will all be good. He's an engineer and master carpenter so hopefully nothing will go wrong. I'm going to try various 'tilts' and see what I feel comfortable with.
  6. I think your grandson will have wonderful memories of a brilliant grandfather to carry with him for the rest of his life. A great gift xx
  7. I don't have a 'stand' for my saw, it's on a bench, so I'm going to try and put a piece of 2x4 under the saw itself. It's bolted to the bench and hubby says he can raise the back with a piece of 2x4 and bolt it all to the bench. Has anyone done this before ?
  8. That sounds eminently simple. Thank you, I'll go and experiment as you say.
  9. Sorry, I know I've asked this before but cannot for the life of me find the thread. My hubby asked this morning if I still wanted my saw tilted. He said he thinks most of you use a 4x2 to tilt, but as I say I cannot find where it was written. May I ask once again how much you all 'tilt' your saw. Thank you for your patience.. Brenda xx
  10. Yeah,, Go Kevin. Enjoy
  11. Welcome Irene. This is a lovely friendly place to be. Wow, you started with spiral blades ! I've not been scrolling long and I have some, just not been brave enough to try them yet Your avatar says Tomanydogs. LOL, I have 8 so we have 'too many'' too
  12. Oh I love that. May I ask, is it your own design or can I get it somewhere. I'd love that on my wall. Brenda
  13. Magical, it's amazing what you do. Me ? I just plain old scroll My ability doesn't stretch halfway to yours.
  14. If it was a picture of your work, I can't see anything. sorry

  22. May I as what SSWC stands for so I can go and look ?
  23. I do my friend, I was just being a spoilt brat,,, and buying something I wanted just because I can. I do have Niqua blades but I've never bought anything from as far away as America and it was a 'flight of fancy', It has made me smile and the price difference was negligible plus I will never throw the packaging away but have them on my wall like a 'trophy' LOL. Dont' worry, my husband thinks I'm daft too
  24. Yep, I have some Niqua blades, I was just curious. The FD blades only cost me £13.50 including postage for 3 doz blades which works out at around 37p a blade so I thought it was worth it. I'm a woman, I do these things
  25. Mmmm, problem is I don't have a scanner. Perhaps I'll put one on my list to Santa
