  1. So far I've printed patterns on regular paper and spray glued them to blue painter's tape, and more now to clear laminate shelf paper from Walmart. I've been using Loctite 200 spray adhesive. Sometimes I get an edge that comes loose and have to try to hold it with a finger and cut close...real PIA. I'm wondering about printing patterns on 801/2" x 11" labels and just sticking that to the clear liner? Who does this? Is it better sticking than spray glue? It sounds a lot less messy.
  2. Hey Denny...you got that right! I'm trying to build up stock for a couple of craft shows in first half of Jan. With all our friends down here for the winter, parties, dances, dinners, daytrips to Mexico and So. Padre Island, etc., etc., it's going to be tough to get any work done...LOL. Sunshine and 80* here now!
  3. Thanks Dan! I do it in true Iggy Puzzle Zombie style...dip in pure mineral oil and let sit on a rack. I did the first few separate parts overnight, and wiped the parts with a paper towel next day. This batch I'm trying his method. Dip all together then put on a rack for 2 days together. They look better already. I think I kept them in way too long before, let them sit for a few min. then turned them over and sit for a few min. more. More like cooking a brat on the grill...LOL.
  4. Thanks! That's my first Dragon. Many more to come...I hope.
  5. Cut a few puzzles today. Got the “winter shop” just about the way I want it, just need to get a couple more drying racks. A cooling rack over a cookie sheet works fine, will get 2 or 3 more tomorrow. All my animal puzzle patterns are Harvey Byler that I get from Scott aka "Iggy".
  6. Very Cool!
  7. Very nice Tammi! But you got the wrong teams...LOL
  8. You mean make it look like my shop at home...LOL.
  9. I have a 18 x 30 shop at home...well...about half of it. The other half is full of stuff I probably wouldn't miss if I got around to throwing it away...lol.
  10. It's in Mission TX...where it's warm! About a mile and a half from the Mexican border. I think it'll work fine. Hope to be cutting by tomorrow. Have to pick up a few odds and ends today...something to sit on, spray glue, etc.
  11. Way to go Marg...great minds think alike...
  12. Hey Scott, Have you ever tried putting the mineral oil in a sprayer and spraying the pieces instead of dipping them? For my winter setup I thought it might be less messy to spray them outside.

  13. Getting my equipment unpacked for my “winter shop”. I was presently surprised that I have more room than I thought! Off to the right of the picture are a full size washer and dryer for the wife, and a frig. for the beer...lol. Still about 5-6 ft from the saw to the double door, and several plugins! Even an A/C...as it’ll be 80* on Christmas Day! Chair/stool shopping tomorrow and I’ll start cutting! Probably going to do several puzzles as they go quickly and there are a bunch of craft shows down here.
  14. May have been tough...but you did a fantastic job Marg! If you stack cut 3 then when someone loved it and wanted it you could wait a couple od days and produce a copy. They would think you did it just for them....LOL
  15. WOW! Congratulations on a fantastic year!
  16. Looks good! Like that color combination.
  17. Very beautiful Alex
  18. I don’t believe she could Paul...lol. But she does know how to torment them
  19. Beautiful work with “the blades from hell”. I’m really going to try to get the hang of them this winter. Will probably make a lot of designer firewood...lol. The Tom Petty portrait is really cool and the puppy is very cute. Fantastic work!
  20. Fantastic order Scott!
  21. Awesome picture!! I don’t have near the amount of patience to cut that! Great job!
  22. Great looking! Did you make the frames?
  23. Awesome work Ron!! I love the classic car portraits. I plan on doing some this winter. The framing really sets it off!
  24. Great job Ralph! I’ve got one request to cut when we get to the border and unpack my saw.
