  1. Great looking pieces! That first sale of scroll work is cool! Makes me hungry for the next...lol.
  2. Looks good John! Let us know how you do.
  3. How do you do the dog on the Rescue leash holder? I found the bone but didn’t see the Rescue in the drop down non-puzzle menu.
  4. Thanks for the video Scott! I’ll be doing one when I get home Sunday. I did the RESCUE dog and took it up to the vet when I dropped off our cat for boarding over the weekend. The girls loved it and I think I’ll get 2 - 3 orders...maybe more. I told them I would donate some of each one they sell to a rescue the vet clinic sponsor. The girls thought it was a great idea and are going to talk to the Dr. about stocking some in the office and taking orders!!! I know one of the office girls is a Scottie freak, Scottie everything, so that might be a good choice.
  5. Thanks Travis!! Super easy to download, customize, and cut! I did 5 for the grandkids I’ll see this weekend and patterns to cut and mail 3 more next week. Scott got me started on animal puzzles the other day. I showed one to the vet we take our cat to and they want to carry some! This idea just popped into my head...Why don’t I do a couple with “pet’s names or dog breads” and show them to the vet? Sounds like sales to me! And nicknames for our retired running buddies on the border in S. TX...that’s another thing. I can see a lot of uses of being able to do quick easy custom names. Have fun with it!
  6. Thank you! Well...it might become one. Depends on what I can find next year. Maybe try to find some with the year on them for next year.
  7. I thought Travis had a cool program... so I got it and set to work! I’ll see these 5 grandkids this weekend in KC. Fun to customize and cut.
  8. I saw that...and wondered just how does one achieve that rank...
  9. Pain in the butt yea...but you did a fantastic job of it! I think I'll pass though...lol.
  10. Very cool!
  11. Thanks John! I used 1 x 8 Poplar. Here in the States a nominal "1 x 8" is actually about 3/4 x 7 1/2 at the big box stores.
  12. Thanks Kevin! Or as Elvis would say "Thank You...Thank You Very Much! "
  13. Thank you so much Paul. It went smoother than I thought it would. I got a couple more patterns from Scott that I'm eager to cut.
  14. Very cool piece!
  15. Very good work!
  16. Absolutely beautiful! And an awesome job of cutting it!
  17. Fantastic show Brian!! Your work is awesome! I like the covered wagon best, it's so vivid.
  18. This time...my first puzzle! A big thank you to Scott for the guidance down the path to Puzzle Zombie land...lol. Love his show setup. Clean, well organized, and very productive! The Poplar got a dip in mineral oil after being worked over by a Pegas #3 blade. It was a fun cut...I can see how it could become an obsession.
  19. I talked to Denny the other day about Pegas clamps for my King. He was out sick for a couple of days...but going to get me some this week.
  20. Great news! I'm hoping to have "Monday reports" like that next year. Have to get in more practice...then build up a ton of inventory. How many pieces of all sold ? Scott sold 40 - 50 pieces the other day...and took a bunch of animal puzzles to the show.
  21. Till they turn off the electricity.....
  22. I've got one of those in my shop, but it's a different brand name...same heater. An electrician friend had it in a part of his shop for a couple of months till his big heater came in. It was just sitting on a shelf so I got a real good deal on it. Las fall I had my shop spray foamed! Now I work in an Igloo cooler...lol. A guy in KS was doing a motel remodel and had some extra spray foam liquid...use it or throw it away. So I git that job done at a real good price also. That combo does a decent job...when I need more heat I fire up a big patio heater for a few min...then shut it off. When we replaced the cheap crappy gas fireplace, that was in the house when we bought it, I had the guys put in a T and cap it for future use. Next summer I'll run a pipe from there out the corner of the house into the shop (about 10-15 ft.) and I'll be looking for a gas furnace. With any luck a friend with a plumb./ht./ac company can find a good deal on something.
  23. Cool! I've seen patterns of a knob end that fits on the knob itself...like the hand end of yours. But never saw it with a shaft. Yea...sometimes it's hard to break it loose.
  24. Way to go Scott! What a haul! Wow...that's all you take to shows...animal puzzles and leash holders? That's great to do that kind of business specializing in two lines of products!
  25. Very nice!
