  1. Thanks Ron! I took a que from your framed pictures.
  2. Very cute! Nice job of cutting!
  3. WOW Alex...that's really nice!
  4. Nicely done plaque! But a KC CHIEFS plaque would have been better...
  5. I think they are both beautiful! I may have to cut this pattern. What wood? Finish? Who did the pattern? It kind of looks like a Steve Good pattern. Not a total newbie...but still newish I wish folks would put in the info to help the rest of us find and cut neat patterns.
  6. Thank you! I hope it sells quick. I'm trying to get some of my work out there to be seen!
  7. Thanks John! That's good to know...I'm taking this one to the flea market today and put it in my booth for sale. I might take the one of the boy fishing also, I posted it here a week or two ago.
  8. Thanks Marg! It came out better than I thought for my first one. It's tough to find a pattern somewhere between this Elvis and a Charles Hand portrait! I like his "Little John" and may try to tackle that one when we get down to the border next month. It looks just like an old ARMY buddy of mine a few years after he retired.
  9. I bought an old house in NE years ago. It had hot water heat...in the winter the only way to really get warmed up was to sit on a radiator! A year or two later it was ripped put and replaced with a new gas forced air heater...much better!
  10. Thanks! The frame is a cheapy on sale at Michael's, but good enough to display for sale. I saw the mat at Walmart a couple of weeks ago and thought it might look good on something...lol.
  11. I decided to try a portrait. So I found Steve Good's "Easy Elvis" and cut it yesterday. It's going up for sale at The Rustic Barn so I just stuck it in a cheap frame. It's 1/4" BB ply done with a Pegas MG #3 and finished with spray lacquer.
  12. Glad to hear you're up and running again! Was it the stent or the nurses that got your heart pumping full bore again...
  13. Thank You!
  14. Thank you! After all those roses (and one more to do) I could almost cut one in my sleep...
  15. Beautiful box Jim!!
  16. That's a really neat piece Paul! I would not have thought of it. I've never done anything 3D...yet. And what a cool idea to do one each Christmas as a family keepsake. I might have to steel that idea...lol.
  17. I have a ton of scrap built up over the last two years. Thinking of a campfire and weenie roast in the back yard...lol
  18. Great looking! What do you use to resize your patterns...Rapid Resizer?
  19. That's cute, and a great job cutting it! Is that a 1/2" slab? Oak?
  20. Thanks Paul! I started a website: ozarksawdust.com I looked at the pictures I had taken and didn't like the way they looked. So, after a trip to the local quilt shop, I made this backdrop and reshot all my pictures.
  21. That’s a good problem to have. I hope to be that busy...some day..lol.
  22. First I did one for my wife. That developed into 4 more! One for each girl. Here are The oldest, the middle, and one of the twins. They will all be in Kansas City for Turkey Day. I have to get some more 1/2" x 6" Oak for the other twin and send it to Florida.
  23. I finished up Santa's Truck by Steve Good this morning. Had to laugh when I saw Dan put the same thing up yesterday...mine was in the shop letting the backer paint dry before I glued it up! I used 1/4" Maple and 1/4" Birch ply painted red but put it on an Oak base. I veined it with a Pegas #5 and followed with a 2/0 spiral. Following the #5 it was better behaved...but still tried to get wild a couple of times...lol. This method may be my only use for spirals, for now. I took it up to Red Barn to put in my booth and the owner really liked it. When I signed the bottom of the base I dated it and wrote "#1 of 10"...lol. Maybe people will think it's a limited edition...limited by how many I want to make...lol And she wants me to design a tissue box for the store! Cool!
  24. I took your advise and tried QTE. Ordered a gross of #3s & #5s and a couple doz. #1s...on Sat 11/16...they were in yesterday's mail...Mon 11/18...in Missouri! That's fast!!
  25. I have a King 16" which I believe is almost identical to the EX and other clones. Who out there has changed to the Pegas blade clamps? Is there really a difference? Would you do it again? I'm thinking about getting some.
