  3. WOW! Very cool!
  4. Fantastic!
  5. I couldn't see anything Kevin
  6. Very nice! What blade(s) did you use?
  7. Cool! Thanks!
  8. Got another one of Steve Good's patterns finished. I did this one in 3 layer birch plywood and used electric tea lights.
  9. Yes...Please...I PMed you
  10. Thanks! That gives it a different type of look. I'll have to try that!
  11. I've been wanting to make those trees, where did you get the pattern?
  12. Love them all! The slabs give it a new dimension. OK...please explain the technique to this newbie..."raised them a little". I guess I'm not familiar with doing that...yet. It really looks great.
  13. Very cool...I like it!
  14. Welcome! You are now one of " the village people" lol. You got a good saw to start out with...I got the same saw from Woodcraft in KC last weekend.
  15. Great first project Tammi! I've been at it less than two months and love it. I started with a WEN saw to see if I wanted to, or could do, scrolling as I had never touched a scroll saw before. Then I found I really liked it and got a King 16" last weekend...love the King!
  16. Do you know Mike and Carol Tipsord? They are good friends of ours and live in Taylorville.

  17. Went in the house to grab a snack and some tea...came back to the shop and my chair had been taken over by one of the neighbor kitties. I told her to get out of my chair...she just curled up and went to sleep! After I got the blue tape on and the pattern glued up I picked her and the cushion up and transferred her to a tote on the end of my glue up table. She was so concerned that she stayed awake for a minute or two before going back to sleep! She knows a warm dry shop when she sees one...
  18. Very nice looking! I like the font.
  19. Got the Halloween Witch finished. It's a Steve Good pattern on 1/4 BB ply.
  20. Yes! I really like it so far, it's smooth and so much quicker with the controls all up front.
  21. I have heard that...bot have no real legal knowledge of it. I got the logo off of Rapid Resizer, I figure it's fair game. Also I'm not worried about hand making and selling a couple at a flea market...but if I was making a ton of them with a big display it might be a different story.
  22. Fantastic boxes John! I've got to try a box. Love the cat box.
  23. I thought I saw someone mention "tuning" a King, Excalibur, etc. for a more or less aggressive cut. Something about twisting the motor one way or the other. It looks to be in the middle of the slots from the factory. Anyone out there able to tell me what a more or less aggressive cut would mean to me? And how to adjust it to..."newbie mode" ? Thanks!
  24. Well, I got the old witch cut tonight...she's still naked though. Tomorrow I'll do like the Rolling Stones said over ten years ago..."Paint It Black"...lol. Steve Good did the backer white like the moon...I'll do the same. I won't do the orange surround as I want to leave it as a hanging piece. Just realized it looks like the hanging loop on the right is cut. It's a dark, small, knot. Not worried about it as I'm going to paint it black anyway...lol.
  25. Got the lettering done today. Gave the piece a couple coats of clear spray lacquer. I'll stain the backer tomorrow...probably walnut.
