great pieces!!! and I know your happy to be able to get back in your woodshop!! I was out of commission for 2 years,,,, and now I just can't seem to get enough time to do all the projects I want to do. lol I can't wait to see what you do next!

a beautiful pattern and work !!! I haven't done much layered work, but these Iv downloaded to see about doing after I finish up with some of the other things im doing now lol

lol sorry about the speech.....my kids get after me about that too every now and then I guess iv just been a mom so long I cant help but give a speech or lecture

we all have our failures , but before you toss that clock out think about this....to me it looked GREAT !!!! most people...espicaly people who don' t know anything about scrolling or woodworking that piece would be beautiful!!! If you can't put a clock in it with out it breaking perhaps you could make a small figure of some kind to put in it where the clock would have gone...and if you don't think you could put a small shelf inside where the hole for the clock is perhaps you could make or get a small bell or angle to put inside it....if your careful and could put a hook on the inside of the clock so it would hang down. To those of us who are to scaird to even try such a project and espically to those who have no idea what scrolling let alone fret work it is a beautiful work of art. Now if you feel you could not sell it because to you its not a great piece of work,,,,perhaps you could give it away to someone who would apparicate its beauty and all your hard work. I made a wooden barn and animals for some one and the first one didn't work out. the sides not all being perfect thus the reason spike got me a table saw lol so I chucjed it into my tear it apart and reuse the wood for something else box wel last time my grandson was over he saw it in the box and asked what it was when I told him it was barn I h ad tried to make but didn't comeout right so it was in that box to be taken apart and the wood used for something else he asked if he could have I have never seen a boy so happy!!! lol you woud have thought id had given something made out of gold. he spent the rest of t hat day painting it and going through my chunkys box to find people and animals to put in it!!! he loved that thing I think better then any of the other stuff we had done together. lol if im speaking out of turn please don't yell just tell me kindly to mind my own busness…… one persons trash is another persons treasure!!! and now my food is done so i'll go eat it lol

getting a head start of chrimass is a great idea!!! I think i'll look through the patterns here and see if I can find that one to make for my oldest daughter for next year. I made my youngest daughter a line lowrelief wood burned D&D screen for Christmas this year....I don't have a picture of it though because I didn't get it finished until like late on xmass eve. lol she said when she comes over next time she will bring it so I can take some pictures of it. the only thing I was't happy about is that the 3 pannals won't fold all the way flat when shes not using it.....so I put some hooks one the back of each panalla so she can hang it on the wall if she can't find any place to put it . thanks for the great picture and the wounderful idea about getting a head start on this years xmiss presents!!

looks wounderful to me!! im a little timid about doing the hard ones, where theres all kinds of little lines real close together...but I love seeing the ones other people are brave enough to do!!

Thanks guys im glad you like them, like I said I used to take every finished craft project I did to my moms ( I lived on the other side of her duplex ) to see and she would tell me if it looked or or not and often gave me ideas on how to make things better. Its hard to think shes been gone going on 5 years now. of course spike looks at my stuff and gives me idea on how to make things better and tells me it things are good enough to put in the craft boxes. but hearing it from people who really know how to do woodworking is something else lol I mean my mom and spike are kind of parchal to me lol now as for a vido….well i'll talk to spike about it and see what we can do lol but first we have to get all the home vidos we've made over the last few years at Christmas and thanksgiving off the camcorder lol I miss the days of having camcorders that you recorded right on the vcr tape or disk. lol and now my show is off lol and I have to get my rear in gear and try to get something done before spike gets home from the store. He ran to the store to pick up the stuff I need to make homemade stew and cabbage and hamberger. lol we don't have any of that in the freezer right now!!! lol and hes missed my home cooking. lol the only problem with my cooking is I can only cook for 5 to 500 with out a recipie and I seldom cook with a reacipy lol iv been cooking since I was 10 and learned to cook from my mom and dad ( them and us kids made 7 ) and the many restranats iv work in over the years. lol a little secreat….when you go into a mom and pop type restrant more times then not the cooks not using a recipie. lol

lol your probly right, spike brings home shrimp every now and then, but its usully frozen and as he puts it its ok but nothing compaired to frish!! lol iv fished an caught and learn to clean trout and catfish mostly as that's what was in the lakes and rivers around here. lol and of course I don't like those. lol I tell spike I like fishsticks because theres so much breading on it you can't really taste the fish lol I like tuna too but that about all iv ever treid. oh I did try smelt once too as my ex liked smelt and would buy it once or twice a month and cook it up for breakfast for him and the kids. lol my mom told me when I was little I used to eat sardines and liked it but as I got older I decided I didn't like it anymore!! lol now my mom grew up in broklen new ;York and of course fish of all kinds were in her diet. lol every once in a while she would make clam chowder and get canned oysters which she ate but the rest of us didn't lol I might try some fish one of these days if spike gets something other then shrimp!!! for some reason I just can't eat it because you can see I assume the blook vessels and my body just says no to that!!! lol now I KNOW I eat the blood vessules in the roast and other meats I eat but since I don't SEE them lol I guess that makes it easer to trick my mind into not thinking about it!!! lol we humans can be a rather odd spices lol

ok first I uploaded a bunch of finished wood working projects but I didn't think to deleat the ones iv already put up here, until a few days ago. I did delete the ones I know you've already seen but theres some I cant remember if I put up or not so IF you see a picture that iv already posted please forgive me....Im one of those people who don't think of things until after the fact. lol now heres another climbing toy. I used the old sawdust and glue trick to make the fur. then theres the frog welcome sign, iv done this one many different ways this is just 2 of them the darker one was made from old paneling I had left over from some home decorating I did year ago and last but not least is the little fish trinket box. lol it didn't come out as good as I would have liked. I did make another fish box that came o ut better but I haven't run across that picture yet!! now with in the next day or two I have to go in to the woodshop and look into my chunkys box and see if I have any farm animal type chunkeys tp put into the the plastic canvas barns I made. I don't know why they didn't include animals in the pattern but they didn't and I think the kids will enjoy playing with it if theres some little animals in it!! lol the picture in the book shows little lego animals but hey not all kids have legos!!! espically as expensive as they are these day! well forgive me for not looking at your stuff tonight but this little old lady is tired!!! so im just going to put everything away get ready for bed and then lie down and watch tv with of course sheba , and henry lying next to me and the cat ivy jumping on and off the bed as she prowls around the house!!! holmes and Watson breaking into song now and then until they are covered ( my 2 little parakeets then tomarrow I will come back and look at all your wounderful projects!!! lol

Thanks everybody !! I have tons of patterns from books, magazines, and what iv found on line. Then theres the few that ritia made for me. and that's just my wood patterns!! I have almost as many crochet magzines books and on line.....add to that sewing and emboridy and maching emboridy patterns knitting, weaving and plastic canvas patterns....well lets just say I have a LOT of patterns.lol more patterns then I could ever make in my life time. spike is always asking me don't you have enough patterns??? my answer...you can never have to many patterns !!! lol I just love finding all the things out there just waiting to made!!! lol sometimes I will look through my patterns for hours before picking a project of two. lol

oh I love that plaque!! hum iv tried to get all of steves patterns but I don't remember that one....doesn't mean I don't have it, iv been getting his patterns in my email for years!!! I love that guy so giving to every one. Before spike came into my life the only patterns I could get were steves in my email, until my mom gotl me a subscription to creative wood works and crafts...I still get his patterns delivered to me. ahh fishing I don't know when I last went fishing. I have fond memories of going fishing with my big brother......last time I went fishing must have been sometime in 93--94 after my ex left. My little sister took me to one of the rivers around here to fish. funny thing is I don't like fish lol I always tell them i'll catch em, i'll clean em and i'll cook em but im NOT eating them lol I can't wait to see what else you make

that's a great projet!! im sure it was very appreached!! my little sister took ty kwan doe. not spelled right im sure lol for years earned her brown blet I think it is the one before you get your black belt but she had to stop. He eye dr told her if she got hit in the head to many times it would dislog something or other in her eyes and shed go blind. she still uses her punching bag to practice her kicks. I thought about making one for her but im not sure she if she would want one now that she cant really do it anymore. im sure this is a project a lot of marshall arts schools would like to have

lol thanks kevin, but theres nothing spical about my work....compaired to a lot of the other works of art iv seen here its pretty simple iv never quite got up the courage to try the harder and more complex patterns. lol although im thinking I might take a stap at something harder some time in the furture. spike got me I think its like a 100 pieces of fake flooring some one took out o f there house for me to use for scrolling. now all I have to do is find some nice patterns to use with it and get some woodstain to match it so I can stain the edges of what I do make with them close to the same color. or depending what I make I can paint the sides a totally different color as accent.

I think your puzzle is great !! Don't you just hate it when life gets in the way of our crafting !!! I didn't get a chance to do anything today but transplant plants. lol but I have a lot of thing ready and waiting for me to start tomarrow if I get done transplanting the last 2 plants early enough. I use the spiral blades when I make puzzles because when I use the regular blades sometimes the pieces don't fit together right. Iv been fansanated by all the different sized blades everyone uses. I usuly just use a number 7 for everything lol that's what the ex bought me so that's pretty much all I use. now after I taught ritia how to scroll she started getting different sized blades...smaller blades usuly and she taught me how to use the small blades when I do fret work. teaching myself from books I guess I don't do everything the way its suppose to be done. lol but as long as it works I guess its not a problem lol

ok heres a few more pictures of the stuff iv made. The first one is a toy climbing firemen. Iv made all kinds of these. The next one is from a pattern I sort of made myself. I found a picture of some foot ball helments and decided to make a msu/ um foot ball tick tack toe game. I got the idea from remembering that my brother in law and his son always watched the msu/um football games and they were fans of opposing teams. lol Then theres the candy corn monsters...a witch, vamper and frankinstien. Next is the santa candy cane holder. I used sawdust mixed with glue to make the beard and fluffy trim on the santa. Thanksgiving is my favorit holiday but there are never really a lot of thanksgiving decorations around to buy sooo I make my own. this pattern of a pilgrim with his gun and turkey walking past corn my ex got I think at home depo or some place like that. it has thanksgiving and christmass patterns and a few other simple patterns to make. I don't glue the pilgrim and corn to the base because its easer to store if it can be taken apart. well that's it for now lol

thanks everybody!! iv written down all the wounderful ideas and tips!!! I took some pictures of the elephant phone charging this morning before I cleaned off the table and will put up the pics soon I hope. my kitchen table is no longer my put wood projects together table...it a transplant your plants table!!! lol Im afraid I won't be doing any crafting for day or so...hopefuly just for a day or soo.....I have a LOT of plants and they are all in need of new soil and bigger pots!!! I put it off for as long as I daired but the poor babies were getting to looking not so good sooo this morning we changed gears from crafting to taking care of my poor little plant children lol I asked my daughter if she could come down to help me some day this week but shes busy and besides as she said she'll be here for my birthday on the 20th. geezzz!!! I cant wait that long. lol oh well i'll pop in the next few evenings and see how things are going here and to look at all your lovely projects !!

I do all the time, and I worry less about her now that shes married to a great guy ! only thing I don't like is there moveing to Maryland after she finishes her externship. shes been studying to become an art teacher and at the end of this year she'll get her degree. im very proud of her

lol keven most of my projects I get from my massave collection of scroll saw magazine and wood works and crafts. lol and then of course ritia helps me by making patterns for me I can't draw. im going to miss that when she moves up north later in the year. lol although we plan on keeping in touch snail mail and by our cell phones. lol she dosnt get on line and just uses her computer to keep her patterns and to play games. iv tried to get her to come on line and show her how to do some of the simpler things like email... but shes not into all that tec stuff lol now im going to try to get into the wood shop tomarrow but I have a ton of plants that need replanting. lol so it might take a few days before I can craft again. lol but i'll try to pop in in the evening lol
