lol you mean like this? i painted the baker black then used dowl peices to frame it. spike still has to help me find a way to hang it since i glued the dowls to it before drilling the holes to run the clear fishing line to. im trying to find a picture i can photo shop to put in the large square under the computer....not sure if i can make one small enough to put into the monater. woundering if it would be to much if i put a small clock in one of the corners. If my penmenship were better id paint the words from the orginal pattern at the bottom....but they didnt MAKE me take typeing is high school with out a reason lol but humm maybe the picture and a small clock if i can get spike to go to johnsons for me. the other 2 i could just put a clock in and mention that you could put a pic in the bottom square when i finally get enough stuff to start trying to sell on ebay again... what do you guys thinks?

LOL Keven thanks but compaired to the things you guys make my stuff is pretty simple. lol im thinking after christmas and i get all the presents paid for i'll try to get some more expensive bb and see if i can manage to do a more complex fret work peice.

beautiful picture and a wounderful way to remember your father!! i lost my older brother in 74, then several years ago i lost dad we lost mom 5 years ago...they say the pain eases some with time, im still waiting....praying for you and yours and keeping there memories in your heart and visit them often!! they become bitter sweet as time gos on.

And yes like everyone else says letters can be a bugger to cut out! iv been scrolling since the late 70s early80s and letters drive me nuts!! lol as a matter of fact the last project i made i messed up because one of the letters messed up so bad i couldnt fix it!!! mumble grumble....BUT i didnt toss out the rest of the project..i turned it into something else.... Dont know if anyone else does this but when i mess up part of a project i put it in a sepreat box and every now and then i go through it and find i can make something else out of the good or not messed up parts.... the project im doing now as a present for my son had to be changed and turned into a different project because i messed up the words. hope to finish it tomarrow .... just remember dont sweat the small stuff!! this is suppose to be fun lol i think all crafters regardless of the craft they do secerty love to touture themselfs!! lol at least thats what my family thinks when im mumbleing and grumbling and ranting and raving about a project thats giving me greaf lol

lol its the steve good pattern dad by day gamer by night from steve good. I botched it up right away when i was trying to do the words.....BUT i NEVER toss out anything that i MIGHT be able to use...lol and the guy sitting at the computer came out good...so i decided to make something else with it. lol i have the backer painted black now and i used some dowls to frame it....im going to see if i can find a small enough picture to put in the space under the desk. I dont think i can find on small enough to put in the computer screen....but we'll see. im making one for my son for xmass....i'lll put a picture of his son in the square box under the table and IF i can find or reduce a picture of him small enough i'll put it in the computer screen. not sure if i want to try to paint the words on the bottom or not.... i'll talk to spike about it and see what he thinks...the biggest proubem with that is my penmenship is so bad they MADE me take typing in highschool lol i was hoping to finish it today but had to see the heart dr ..... bloody drs take up far to much of my crafting time!!! and christmas is only a few weeks away.....mumble grumble i can never make as much stuff for christmas as id like lol i'll try to finish it tomarrow and put up a finished pic.

im afraid the pictures didnt come out very good. As you can see i had trouble trying to cut out the words....but at lest i know why now.....you cant cut letters that small out of cheap bb. so now i am trying to slavage what i can of the project.. im hoping to glue the computer and guy to the wood....and im trying to figure out a way to put a pic of my son in the computer screen and a pic of my grand son in the big square at the bottom where the table top and legs meet the floor. now im going to have to paint the backer board but im not sure what color to paint it as im going to paint the dad by day gamer by night on the backer board....now i paint the words in black what color should i paint the backer....it needs to be light enough for the words in black to show up.....or perhaps if i stain the backer board....??? humm any ideas? and i still have to figure out a way to frame it.....any body got any ideas? iv decided to not even try to cut out the words in groomer pattern...just paint them on. i'll turn 63 in march and then i will only have 2 more years to wait until i can collect half of what my ex's social secruty.....would be and he worked at GM so it should give me enough money a month to get some pretty good wood.....where as i get ssdi based on mimun wage jobs lol ....oh well guess i'll just have to keep it simple and do easy stuff until then. well i have to get off here now and see what i can find to eat and see if i have enough meds made up for today!! if not i'll have to make them up and listen to spike yell at me for taking my morning meds after 1 in the afternoon!! lol

Thanks guys!! they are steve goods patterns...i went to downloads to get the patterns to put up here and there they were....no searching for them as they werethe last things i downloaded...i do want to think you both for your help.... have the patterns transfered to the wood and will glue a few planks together to stack cut tomarrow .....God willing and the creek dont rise!!!

ok guys i can finally get back into the wood shop yea!!! I have 2 patterns i want to cut out....one is a woman grooming a dog in a circle and around the outside of the circle it says it's time to paws and say thank you....the other one is a guy sitting at a computer with dad by day gamer by night at the bottom.I printed these out before my head exploded and i dont remember where i got the patterns...i think there from steve but im not sure and i dont want to make a mastake....the computer one im going to make for my son and the dog groomer one im making to give to the groomer when we take henery in to be groomed.... I usuluy stack cut patterns like this but i dont want to cut out several of these if the patterns come from here and cant be sold....i should have written on the pattern its slef weather it could be sold or not but i didnt ..... and i cant stay on the computer a real long time looking through all the patterns to see if it came from here....i 'll check back here sometime tomarrow and hopefuly if someone here made the patterns they can let me know i dont want to make a mastake and put a project in the craft sell boxes that are for personal use only!!! now i really need to get off here.....the dr is trying to get the insurence compeny to cover the new pain meds hes perscribed and i dont want to start the migrine cluster going up in pain level thanks!!!

im frounturet....there is a very LARGE stack of sticks, twigs, and branches in our back yard....iv spent a day in a half at the miter type saw sliceing disks from them and i still have 2 boxes of twigs branches and sticks to cut. tomarrow im going to put some linseed oil on the ones that are cut and let them sit out until there dry and then i'll use them to make snowmen and little table and chairs for my knob houses....might use some for stepts and stares too. the bigger ones i'll make ornaments from not sure what all i'll make out of them actualy lol but spike has strick orders NOT to GET RID of my STICKS!!! lol

a totaly fantastic peice!!! ialso see no flaws....more often then not we are the only ones who see the flaws in our projects...as Mr Monk would say it a blessing and a curse.lol seeing our flaws makes us try harder to make our projects great works of art and a blessing because since no one else can see the flaws we are able to sell our work and give them as presents to make other people happy
