  1. Real nice piece!
  2. That paint work is excellent!
  3. Welcome from Montana, lots of great advice and friendly folks on this site!
  4. Another outstanding work of art. Your color choices always impress me-I always have trouble using colors that compliment each other-wife says I am color blind but I argue I just see colors differently! Did you use a pre stain before staining your frame-it looks really good with no blotchiness, I tend to have trouble with that.
  5. Nice cutting on that pattern, it is on my to do list.
  6. That is nice, I like the design in the body.
  7. Yes, I just glued the T Bird to the backer.
  8. Really nice Frank-the moon makes it all happen IMHO.
  9. Well scrolled, the lighter one is my favorite.
  10. Finally got some shop time, cut from 1/8 BB on a 1/4 colored backer. Frame is poplar with Sedona Red stain.
  11. Nicely done! The bit of color just right.
  12. Nice cutting-I really like your color choices on the plaque-adding color really makes a project a level up IMHO
  13. What a brilliant idea, now I know what to do with my plywood leftovers.
  14. I thought about that but it was no problem on the aspen
  15. That worked well-great idea.
  16. Really nice, you chose well on the wood colors!
  17. Thanks Dick- I got the inlay at https://www.inlays.com/Inlay-Strips-s/1832.htm It is fun to look at all the stuff they have!
  18. The Gnomes are nice-I ought to do some for presents this year.
  19. The cut panel is 8x10 and the backer is 10x12. I used 1inch rails and rounded over the outer edges. The inlay is 1/4 inch width. I think I got carried away with the inlay-if I were to do it again or use inlay in the future I would center shorter strips on the rails, maybe 8 inch lengths or so.
  20. Cut from 1/4BB and backed with1/8BB I used Aspen for the frame and added the inlays. I also used my spline jig for the first time and used purple heart for the splines. The addition of the splines was easier than I thought-I will probably use them more. Any advice or suggestions are appreciated.
  21. Well done-I think the birds really top it off.
  22. Really brings back memories-we watched it every year. Well done.
  23. Really nice Dick, what woods did you use?
  24. All nicely done, did you use stain or paint on the elephants, it looks good with those colors.
